Recap: On its own

Carly grabbed the lamp on the side table, and moved close to the door. Just as she was about to swing it on the person's head, the guy caught her and the lamp, pulling it away from her and pressing her against the wall. "Carly?" Daniel frowned and Carly grinned sheepishly.

"Oh sorry. I got surprised and I thought you would be home much later" She said and Daniel raised his eyebrows. "I thought YOU would be late cause of the dress shopping" He frowned. "Um we found the dress quickly. Your mother paid, and I'm so sorry that it was costly. I wasn't going to take it but they forced me to" Carly said and Daniel chuckled.

"Its fine you know. I'm supposed to pay for you so.." Daniel shrugged and Carly frowned. "B-But I don't-" she began and Daniel shushed her. "You really don't have an option so come on and help me out" Daniel said, and Carly raised her eyebrows.

"I can if you stop pinning me to the wall cause I can't move" Carly said and Daniel's eyes widened. "Oh sorry" he said, leading her upstairs into his office. "Your office is beautiful" Carly said in awe and Daniel nodded a thank you.

"So we found out that Herron.Inc has been doing business with Difflin.Inc and the fact that your dads company is having financial problems accounts to this Carly." Daniel said, grabbing the file and handing it to Carly who sat on the desk and threw his suit jacket to the side, before beginning to fiddle with his tie.

"Ugh stupid meetings" he groaned, unable to pull it off and Carly chuckled, placing the file on the table before gesturing him to come closer. Daniel walked closer, yet maintaining his distance and Carly rolled her eyes and grabbed his by the tie and pulled him closer so he was standing in between her legs.

Pressing her palms against his chest to steady him from the quick jerk, she began working on his tie, untangling the tight knot and Daniel stared at her, her hair smelling amazing. 'Control yourself Daniel. She will hate you when she finds out what you did' Daniel thought to himself, taking a deep breath as he felt her fingertips graze his chest.

"Done" Carly smiled, looking up to find their faces inches away from each other. "Thanks" Daniel breathed, his breath fanning her face and her blue-grey eyes sparkled as she stared into his ocean blue ones.

Unconsciously, she found herself moving closer to Daniel and Daniel's hands on her waist wasn't helping either as he pulled her closer. Lips inches away, a part of Carly realised what she was doing. But the other part wanted his lips on hers again. To feel the silk on her lips.

And that part probably won, for Carly didn't move away as their lips finally touched. Willingly. And Carly let her hands weave into his hair, finally feeling the soft strands between her fingers. Daniel pulled her closer so that their chests were pressed against each other and Carly wrapped her legs around his waist. 

The darker part of Daniel told him to stop, to realise what he was doing. It told him she would never like him back, that she would probably ask for a divorce when she found out. But he pushed that away. He let the brighter part of his take over, the 5% in his hundred and let it shine through as he kissed Carly better, more passionately and Carly responded with the same intensity, which surprised him, but he closed his eyes.

Daniel liked this side of him. The side that had been there until that night. Just an opening of the door and his life collapsed. To see her in that condition and know he caused it. Knowing he had also let another innocent soul die instead of the one supposed to. Knowing that HE had escaped. It killed him and he hated it. Hated what he had become.

He wanted to rip that part out of him, to forget everything. He knew his mom might as well have left him in a mental asylum but here he was. Carly pulled away, panting for air and Daniel opened his eyes, knowing his lips were probably slightly swollen.

"Dani..." Carly said but Daniel didn't say anything. "Did that..did that mean something to you?" She asked and yet he stayed silent. "Just so you know, when you kissed me at Zach's place, it was my first kiss" Carly said, before pushing him away and hopping off the desk.

Daniel pulled her back and pressed her against the bookshelf. "You're going to hate me" he mumbled, placing his head in her neck. "Why would I do that?" Carly asked, looping her arms around his shoulders. "I-" Daniel began but was cut off by his phone ringing.

"Well you better take that"

Got some Darly and an inside to Daniels complicated little brain. Poor Daniel :(

I'm sorry for not updating in a while, I had writers block, UGH.

But both of them do be hidin secrets doe;) We'll find out in a few🙈
