46.Caught

Recap: "STOP IT!"

Carly whimpered, curled up on the floor in a fetal position. The effects of the drug had finally worn off, and Carly was pretty sure it was the middle of the night for the room was extra cold.

Carly was exhausted, her stomach growling in hunger, her throat begging for water as her body lay lifeless, her chest moving the only indication of her breathing.

Carly's mind had been stripped fresh, the fake visions providing her pure pain as she still shivered from the thought. She understood why Jake had told her the story for she had no idea about the drug, but her mind pictured everything, as if it were re happening in front of her this time.

Carly knew she shouldn't fall asleep, but her mind was exhausted. Her body was exhausted, her arms, her legs were exhausted. And she let her eyes flutter shut, wishing she could wake up in Daniel's arms, with all of this only a dream.

He wouldn't want her though, she was too broken, too tainted now, and he hadn't even said those three words back, he obviously hated her. But its ok, Carly felt she was used to it by now. No one liked her, and her last lingering thought as her mind blanked out was something many felt.

'No one likes me'

"She'll be fine Daniel" Lily comforted the blond boy who was crying. "No she fucking won't" Daniel snapped at her before dropping his head back into his hands. "I'm sorry I'm stressed and" Daniel began apologizing but Lily shushed him.

"We understand Daniel but you need to let us help you" Tahani said, kneeling on his other side and Daniel nodded. "Theres no traces bro" Jonah said, hanging up the phone and Daniel pulled at his hair. 

"Daniel you need to calm down" Lottie said as Daniel shook his head. Suddenly the front door burst open, and in came striding in a girl with brown hair, her eyes a beautiful gray holding a toddler on her hips.

"Is it true? Has Carly been kidnapped?" She asked, and everyone frowned at the girl, having no idea who she was. Other than Daniel, who's eyes lingered on the toddler. He could recognize those features any day, making him wonder how he had never seen the similarity in Carly.

"You- You're Oscar's girlfriend" Daniel said, standing up and the girl looked taken aback. "Was but what gave it away?" The girl asked and Daniel's eyes moved to the toddler. "I'm Leanna, this is Cameron and yes, I was his girlfriend. Cam looks like him doesn't he?" Leanna asked softly and Daniel nodded, tears welling up in his eyes again.

"I'm sorry" Daniel said, falling to his knees in front of her and Leanna frowned, placing Cameron down. "Hey, why are you sorry?" Leanna asked, confused and Daniel looked at his feet. "I- I pulled the trigger of the gun that killed Oscar" Daniel sobbed, and the rest of his friends gasped, well except one but no one paid attention.

"I- I was aiming for Jake and-" Daniel sobbed, feeling a small hand on his face. "Mummwy why is hwe crwying?" Cameron asked Leanna who looked at Daniel with tears in her eyes. "Its nothing Cam. Why don't you watch something on the t.v if thats ok with you Daniel" Leanna said and Daniel nodded.

"Daniel it wasn't your fault. Oscar was extremely loyal, its a trait I loved and hated. Jake is a creep, and it doesn't matter if you killed Oscar or not, it was his time to go. The only thing I wished was he could have seen his son" Leanna said, kneeling in front of Daniel who was still crying.

"But Cameron has to grow up without a father and-" Daniel sobbed and Leanna pulled him into a hug. "Daniel its fine, I know Oscar's always watching over us ok? He'll be glad of the way you treat Carly, she did tell me a lot when we met up the other day" Leanna said.

"B-But she's kidnapped and I can't do anything" Daniel sobbed and Leanna sighed. "Daniel we can get her back. Jake may act smart and Carly may look dumb, but trust me their both the opposite" Leanna said and Daniel nodded, wiping his tears.

"YOU" Leanna gasped suddenly, pointing at a guy who frowned. "Me?" He asked, although looking nervous. "Yes you. Don't you work for Jake" Leanna gasped and everyone's heads looked at the guy who stood there nervously.

"N-No I don't" He stuttered and his girlfriend stepped back. "Please tell me she's lying" The brunette girl begged and the guy stood there silently. "How can we trust you?" Another guy asked her and Leanna thought for a second.

"Carly trusts me" Leanna said and another girl rolled her eyes. "We didn't even know you existed till like today" She said and Leanna sighed. "But I did and I trust her" Daniel said and Leanna shot him a grateful smile.

"But is it true?" The brunette girl asked her boyfriend who looked panicked. "I- I no its not" He said, his phone vibrating all of a sudden. His girlfriend snatched the device out of his hands, answering the call.

"Where the fuck are you" Came a voice and everyone's eyes widened as they recognized the voice as Jake's. "Bitch can you hear me?" Jake's voice came through and someone nudged him to answer.

"Y-Yeah I got held up" The guy said, shrinking under the glares of the others. "Well get here fast. We need your help holding her down" Jake said and Daniel's glare intensified. "Holding her down for what?" The guy asked and Jake laughed.

"The new dose of drugs, I need to finish testing on her then I'll see if you can have a round with her" Jake laughed, as if amused and Daniel's fists were clenched, his nails digging hard, a drop of blood hitting the carpet.

The guy's eyes widened seeing this, while his girlfriend had tears in her eyes seeing how the guy she loved was the reason her best friend was being tortured. "So where are you" Jake asked and the guy looked up, Daniel's nails still making his hand bleed, the red liquid flowing faster.

He looked like he was contemplating something, before he looked at everyone glaring at him, while his girlfriend was in tears. He said 3 words, before taking off, and out the door, everyone too shocked to run after him, Daniel's mind repeating the three words.

"I got caught"
