recap: What had happened last night?
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Carly?" Daniel mumbled, rubbing the sleepiness out of his eyes. Carly whimpered, her eyes filled to the brim with tears, her head hurting like a pile of boulders had been smashed on it repeatedly, and she sat, knees pulled up to her chest. 'How was he so calm?' Carly thought, the tears finally falling as Carly bit her lip to stop the sobs racking her body.
"Carly? Why are you crying?" Daniel frowned and Carly sobbed harder. "Why would you do this? You could have atleast asked" She sobbed, making Daniel frown bigger. "What are you talking about?" But as he asked that question, he noticed that she was clawing at her skin, making him understand.
"Oh my god! Why would you think that? I would never take advantage of anyone. Trust me, your still a virgin" Daniel said, slowly walking closer to her. Carly looked up, her eyes still dripping tears. "Then explain this Daniel. Explain the mark, my ripped dress-" Carly sobbed and Daniel slowly squatted in front of her. "I shall, but you need an advil and you need to have breakfast. Going on an empty stomach is not good for hangovers" he spoke, and Carly looked at the outstreched hand, before grabbing it, knowing that whether he had taken her treasure or not, she couldn't change fate, which for her, lay in the contract.
As they walked down to the kitchen after brushing their teeths, Carly realised that she was walking properly. No searing pain like Lily had described. Carly frowned as she sat down on the bar stools, as Daniel passed her a glass of water and advil, before chopping and throwing a few fruits into the blender as he explained everything that had happened last night.
Carly scrunched her eyebrows, her head still killing her as Daniel passed her a smoothie, which he apparently called it 'Daniel's Hangover Smoothie'. "I'm sorry." Carly said as Daniel came back from answering a call. "For what?" he frowned, pocketing his phone. "For falsely accusing you. I know it was stupid of me but-" Carly said, looking up to find Daniel's face inches away from her own.
"Its fine. I understand it looked like it. I think its wonderful that you find girls these days who are willing to wait for marriage. I also want to tell you that I'm taking you out today, so be ready by 7. You don't have office. I'm working from home today" Daniel spoke, his minty breath fanning her face, making Carly get dizzy. 'Damn, he smelled good' Carly thought, inhaling the faint scent of musk and freshly cut lemons. Carly also realised she probably stank.
Carly's phone rang and Carly glared at the caller id, grabbing the phone and accepting the call as Daniel moved back to his seat beside her. "What?....No.....I'm on fucking break...How's that my problem....I notified you like 2 days ago....So what? You had a whole fucking day you assnine piece of shitty twatwaffle.....How does it matter to you if my dad did it or my boyfriend did it?.....Oh my goshhh....Are you hearing yourself?....No?...I can't deal with this right now...Bye" Carly groaned, slamming her head down onto the counter.
"What happened?" Daniel asked as he opened his laptop. "Jonathan, this photographer who has a crush on me, I was supposed to have a photo shoot with him today. I cancelled it and now he's angry. Like it's gonna ruin my whole career" Carly said, rolling her eyes.
Came by and went the day and Carly had been told to dress casual for her and Daniel's 'date', if you could call it that. Carly got dressed in a blue sundress, meanwhile thinking about how Daniel had been yelling at someone on the phone, then had left around the afternoon to get something.
"Hey you ready- Woah.." Daniel trailed off, staring at the blushing girl. "Y-You look beautiful. Not that you usually don't but-. You ready right?" He asked, a blushing Carly nodding as she strapped on her shoes.
