58.The Divorce

Recap: "Jake escaped, and that nurse was him disguised"

"HE WHAT" Daniel yelled and quietened down when a few people glared over at him. "He escaped from custody, they just caught him again and this time, uh they shot him" Jack mumbled.

"Is he dead" Daniel asked and his friends looked at each other. "Not exactly..." Jonah trailed off and Daniel gritted his teeth. Suddenly, someone walking down the hallway distracted them as the man in the suit came to a stop.

"Detective Noah, what a pleasant surprise" Daniel said and Noah nodded, not catching the confused tone. "We have orders about you not turning in the divorce papers, we may need to arrest you" Noah said and Daniel tensed up while the other boys stepped forward.

"The divorce papers are due by noon...oh fuck" Zach cursed as the time showed 1pm. "Yes Mr.Herron, 1 hour late so where are the papers" Noah asked and Daniel bit his lip nervously.

"Uh before I could get Carly to sign them, something happened to her IV drip, she began shaking and stuff" Daniel swiftly lied through his teeth, although the last part wasn't a lie.

"Mr.Seavey, we found out Ms.Difflin woke up at 11, what happened to the hour in between" Noah asked and Daniel gritted his teeth. 

"First off, shes still Mrs.Seavey, and second of all, theres medical procedures needing to be followed. And may I remind you that Jake has escaped so the divorce part of the contract fails as to the reason I still have to protect her" Daniel spat and Noah looked taken aback.

"Mr.Seavey look, we need the divorce papers or its court action against you" Noah said and Daniel rolled his eyes. "I cannot give you the papers when she hasn't signed them yet" Daniel spat, ignoring the pang in his heart at the thought of her leaving him.

"And if she does when she wakes up again?" Noah asked and Daniel shrugged, keeping a blank face. "Carly Seavey's family?" A man in a white coat that Daniel recognized as Carly's doctor came up to him.

"Shes okay now" The doctor said and Daniel breathed a sigh of relief, a small smile gracing his face. "She's awake , you can go see her. Oh and Mr.Seavey? Please help her finish the rest of her food" The doctor said, walking away once he got a nod from Daniel.

"Better have the divorce papers ready Mr.Seavey" Noah said and Daniel scoffed. "Maybe we'll ask her if she wants a divorce in the first place" Daniel growled, before walking in, followed by everyone else. 

"D-Daniel?" The blond girl breathed as Daniel walked through. He walked to her, pulling her onto his lap and wrapped her in his arms. "Hi my love" Daniel whispered, kissing her head as she held onto him.

"Mr.Seavey the divorce papers" Noah warned them impatiently and Carly frowned up at him. "What divorce papers?" Carly asked, and Daniel cleared his throat, glaring at Noah.

"What he means is that the contract states we have to get a divorce right? So if you want to—" Daniel began but the blonde girl cut him off. "No, I don't want a divorce" Carly stated firmly, extremely firm for someone who had just had a mild seizure.

"Carly you don't—" Noah began but Carly shook her head. "No is a no Noah, I finally found someone, let me be" Carly said and Noah rolled his eyes.

"Well wheres the papers stating you don't want a divorce then?" Noah asked and Carly looked at Daniel who's eyes widened. "Right here" Corbyn said, placing down a couple of papers and Daniel raised an eyebrow.

"We had them printed soon after you told us about the divorce" Jonah chuckled, handing them a pen. Carly smirked at Noah as she signed it, Daniel's signature following after.

Noah rolled his eyes again before taking the papers and walking out. After about an hour of catching up, their friends left the hospital regarding work duties.

"You really wanna stay with me?" Daniel asked softly and Carly smiled. The couple were on her bed, Carly's head on her husbands chest. "Yes" Carly whispered, lifting her head to look at the blond man she was in love with.

"I love you" he whispered and she smiled. "I love you too" she said back, kissing him lightly. "I want children" Carly said and Daniel chuckled.

"We're definitely having children, imagine a little you" Daniel cooed and Carly buried her face in his chest, a blush painting her cheeks. "Or a mini you" she spoke, her voice muffled.

"We'll decide that later, you need to sleep, your still under medication" Daniel whispered, kissing her forehead. "Will you stay? Here with me, holding me?" Carly asked her husband who smiled.

"Always"

Short chapter, ik smh. I had writers block, like bad one and then once I got cured, I lost motivation but I got it again so here we are 👁👄👁
