It later occurred to me that I'm going on a date with a boy that I met two days ago and know very little about him.

I tried not to overthink everything that was going on.

But, I still have nothing to wear.

I got up out of bed, went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, and went to my closet. I decided to wear my Gray shirt that says "Sunflower" on it in a yellow font with a small picture of a sunflower on it and a pair of shorts. This time, I decided to wear different shoes, so I chose to wear my blue converse.

I went downstairs and told my mum that I don't have anything to wear for the date. She suggested we go to the mall, to pick out an outfit. I agreed. My mum got her wallet. We went through the front door and locked it once we had gotten outside.

We got into the car, and we arrived at the Mall about 15 minutes later.

Once we were inside the mall, we spotted a dress store. The dresses in the window were amazing. One of them was yellow and silky and it had pearls and diamonds on the top part of the dress. Another one of the dresses was a shorter beautiful lavender dress that went down to the knees with a darker purple belt around the waist. The last dress in the window was a navy blue off-the-shoulder dress that went to about the floor in length, and it had some sparkles near the shoulders.

We entered the store and our face's lit up. We were smiling and my mum was so excited to take me dress shopping for my first ever date!

Once we got into the store, my mum spotted a dress. She went over and picked it up, and showed me. The dress was mint green with lace on the bottom. I liked it, but I didn't think that it was the right dress for my first date, to a movie theater.

Since we were going to a movie theater, I didn't want to overdress. But, I didn't want to wear just shorts and a t-shirt to go on a date. I wanted to wear something a little more special. To remember my first date by.

I told my mum that I liked the dress, but that It didn't seem that intriguing to wear to a movie theater. She agreed and put the dress back.

I spotted another dress, and I picked it up. It was a black dress, with some lace and sparkles. It went down to about my knees in length. I told my mum that I liked this dress, and that I wanted to try it on. I went into one of the dressing rooms and tried it on. My mum was waiting outside the dressing room for me. Once I got the dress on, I opened the dressing room door and showed my mum. She loved it.

"Wow, Grace, that dress looks amazing on you!" She said. "It does?" I asked. "Yes, of course. Look at you" she said and pointed to the mirror in the room. I took a few steps closer to the mirror and looked at my reflection. I smiled. "Wow," I said. "I know." My mum said.

"This is the one," I said, still looking at my reflection. "Yeah, it definitely is," my mum said, as she smiled.
