The Love Letter - Chapter 18 💌

--Friday morning-- 

I woke up. Yes, it's Friday! Today we're going to the Aquarium!  And today is one-day closer, to Jake and I's first date, tomorrow! I am definitely looking forward to going to the aquarium. Blake and I have to present our Atoms and Molecules project there today as well. And after school, I have to go shopping with my mum again to look for another outfit to wear for the date tomorrow. Wow, today is a big day. I've got a lot planned. 

Jake just sent me a text. It says 'Hey, Gracie! Sorry, I couldn't ask you this in person today, because I know you're going to the aquarium but since I'm a junior and the field trip is only for seniors I can't go. But I miss you!'

Wow. That was so nice and sweet! Aww. 

I know what you're thinking, if you're a year older than Jake why do you like him? Well, I like him because he's sweet and so nice. And he's cute. Who cares about his age if he's perfect? I mean, it's not a big difference. It's not like we're five years apart. 

I replied saying 'Thank you so much, and I miss you too!' 

I sent the message and then walked over to my closet. I pulled out my white shirt that has a blue dolphin on it, I felt like that shirt would be good for today and I also got out a pair of shorts. 

I finished getting ready and went downstairs. The only meal I've had for the past few days has been breakfast. Today, I had pancakes and bacon. My mum makes delicious pancakes and bacon so does my dad, but of course, he's on trips circling the world, flying airplanes. 

I grab my backpack from the hook in the living room. I opened the front door, and Sarah was waiting for me again. We walked to the bus stop just on time, and we sat in our usual seats again. 

We arrived at Oakwood High soon after. The seniors had a few minutes to grab their projects and anything else they may need out of their lockers. And then everyone meets back on the bus. Sarah and I went to our locker together, since we were locker neighbors and Blake and Jake were there waiting for us as well as Ashton. I'm not really sure why Ashton is at our lockers, but he is. Ashton asked Sarah if they could talk for a moment, and Sarah agreed. So they are a little further down the hallway, but I could barely see them anymore, because of students walking down the hallway. 

 "We're  both okay with you going on dates with both of us since neither of us is dating you, but please pick just one of us, instead of just kissing both of us all the time," Jake said. "Oh, I'm sorry, you guys. I didn't know how that made you guys feel. But thank you for telling me," I said as I smiled. They smiled back. "But it will be difficult for me to make a decision, so can I decide at the upcoming school dance?" I asked. "Sure," Blake and Jake agreed. "I just don't want to hurt either of your feelings," I said. "You won't either way, I'll understand," Jake said. "Yeah, me too," Blake said. "Okay, thank you guys for being so understanding," I said. "Your welcome," They both said. I smiled. They smiled back. 

Now, I'm not quite sure what happened but I see Sarah and Ashton holding hands. What!? I'm so confused. 

They approached us. "We're dating now!" Sarah said smiling so hard that I don't think I've actually ever seen her smile that much before. "What happened? How did this happen?" I asked. "I'll tell you on the way there," she said. "Okay," I said. "Well, either way, I'm really happy for you guys," I said. "Thanks so much," Ashton said. "Thanks, Grace," Sarah said. "Your welcome," I said. "I'll see you at the aquarium, Grace," Junior said. "Okay, see you there, Blake," I said. Blake walked away. Blake has our project in his backpack. "Bye, Gracie, I'll see you Monday!" Jake said. "Okay, bye Jake," I said. "Bye, Gracie," he said and walked away. 

Ashton is in our grade. "Hey, Ash, do you want to sit on the bus with me?" I heard Sarah ask Ashton. "Sure, Sarah!" Ashton said. "Blake, wait!" I shouted. Blake turned around. "Yeah, Grace?" He asked. I walked up to him. "Do you want to sit together on the bus?" I asked. "Sure," He smiled. I smiled back.  Then I went back to my locker and opened it, an envelope fell out. I picked it up and it was yellow, and on it, it said 'To Grace.' I opened it up, gently, trying not to rip it. Once I opened it, all it said was 'I love you' with no name.
