--Thursday Morning still--
I'm wearing a random T-shirt that I pulled out of my closet, it was just white with a black design on it, some sweatpants, and a hoodie, and my hair was in a ponytail. My mum just told me that I had some visitors coming over a little later. She said that Blake, Jake, and Sarah were all friends now, I have absolutely no idea what is happening. How could they all just be friends, that quickly? I don't think Sarah has even ever talked to Jake before. Or maybe she did, she just never told me. Wow. I'm just so confused right now. My head kind of hurts I'm not sure why though. It kind of felt like I was dreaming, but I knew I wasn't. Everything seemed sort of out of place and blurry. But I just ignored it.
And the next thing I knew, Ding Dong! Oh no. They're here. What do I do? I look awful, and I'm a mess. Well, It's too late to clean up my room.
My bedroom door opened, I was sitting on my bed, with the tissue box in front of me. I looked so awful. I'm definitely a mess. If anyone told me I looked beautiful right now, I'd confront them for lying. There were tissues on my bed, and the trashcan was filled to the top with nothing but tissues. I felt so sad.
They walked in, and they saw me sitting on my bed. They came over to me. Sarah shut the door behind her. Sarah was the first one to say anything. "Hi, Grace, are you okay?" She asked me. "Umm, yeah. I'm fine." I said. I'm most definitely not fine. If anything, I'm anything but fine! "No, you're not fine, Grace. We can tell you're not fine" Jake said. "Yeah," Blake said. "Tell us what's bothering you," Blake finished. "I can't," I said. "Why not?" Sarah asked. Sarah and I usually tell each other everything, but sometimes I feel like I don't need to share every single detail of my life with her. "It doesn't matter," I said. "Yes, it does. If it didn't matter, then we wouldn't be here," Blake said. "Yeah," Sarah said. "Exactly," Jake agreed. "Okay, fine. I'll tell you guys. But please don't say anything to anyone else, okay?" I said. "I promise," Blake said. "You have my word," Jake said. "Okay, I promise," Sarah said. "Well, I'm really upset right now," I began to say. "Why though?" Sarah asked. "Because almost my whole life, I've just been bullied by lots of kids. People would call me ugly, and fat, and fat pig because I used to snort when I laughed. I would get so upset, and go to the bathrooms at school, and cry. I would walk home upset. And when I would get home, I would just cry. I didn't deal with getting bullied very well. I tried to act like all of the cool kids, but I wasn't enough. I felt useless and unloved and I felt like a failure. Kids would just be so mean to me for no reason at all. I never did anything to them. And from that point on I have been super insecure about myself and tried to change my personality completely, and the reason that I didn't really tell anyone was because I didn't want them to pity me," I said. "Wow, Grace I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that," Blake said. "Yeah, Grace you're perfect. Seriously, please just be yourself, we like you that way," Jake said. "Yeah, they treated Grace like a piece of trash, which she isn't," Sarah said. "Thank you, guys," I said, sort of smiling. "You guys seriously do mean a lot to me," I continued to say. "Aww," Jake said. Blake, Jake, and Sarah all smiled. "You mean a lot to us too, Grace," Blake said. "Seriously? I do?" I asked. "Of course you do," Sarah said. "You're so nice, and pretty, and an amazing friend!" Jake said. "Wait, hold up, I'm pretty??" I asked, and they could hear the confusion in my voice. "Yes!" They all said. "Wow, thank you guys so much, that really means a lot to me," I said smiling. "Of course! You deserve to be treated just like everyone else!" Blake said that actually made me smile. "I agree," Jake said. Wow, they can actually agree on stuff! "Yeah, I agree too!" Sarah said. "You're special, Grace!" Jake said. Aww! "Thanks, Jake," I said. "Group hug?" I asked. "Yes, group hug!!" Blake said. And everyone hugged. I loved this. "I love this!" I laughed. "Me too," Jake said. "Me too," Sarah said. "Me three," Blake said. We all smiled.
--Thursday afternoon--
It felt good to talk about my feelings with other people. But, I just realized that I still have no idea where the necklace Blake gave me went!
Ding Dong!
"I'll get it!" I said. I had no idea who it was, but I still offered to get the door. It was Sarah. "Hey, Grace, again," She laughed. "Hi, again," I laughed. "I found this in my room," she took out the necklace that Blake gave me out of her pocket. I found it on my bedroom floor this morning. I guess it was too dark to see it last night," Sarah said. "Thank you so much! I noticed last night when I was on my way home from your house, that I had lost it. And I had no idea where it was." I said. "Well, It's okay, calm down, it's right here, but make sure you put it somewhere safe," she said. "Like where?" I asked. "Hmm...Maybe around your neck," Sarah said as she laughed. "oh, right!" I smiled.
Well, at least I have the necklace back, now all I need back is my confidence!
