Imagine knowing how to swim🐦

It was a Tuesday night, and you were stranded at sea.

"Why am I the one helping you with this again??" You ask Gulliver as the small boat you share rocks wildly, the waves trying their hardest to drag you in.

Gulliver shrugs as he launches another net into the water below.

"I heard you're good at taking people captive, so I thought you'd be good at helping me catch that Loch Ness Monster." He explains before smiling fondly. "I named 'er Billy."

You nod and watch as your own net slowly sinks to the bottom, where it floats lazily for a second before being dragged underneath.

"It caught something!!" You yell as you attempt to pull in onboard. The net pulls against you, and your grip loosens. "Help, it's resisting!!"

Within seconds, Gulliver is by your side.

"Billy, you sack of shit!"

With his help, you manage to pull the dirty net onto the small deck. You feel triumph briefly, before you realize that the quivering figure onboard is not Billy.

The figure coughs loudly, its eyes wide in fear.

"W-What?!?!?!" A famialr voice sputters, writhing in the nowhere wildly. "Where am I??? What's going on????"

You would recognize that beautiful man anywhere!

"Zucker??" You cry in surprise, stumbling away from him in guilt. "What are you doing in the middle of the ocean?!"

As Zucker struggles against his bindings, he cries, "I-I came to visit my grandmother. What...what's going on?"

Before you can explain the situation, Gulliver approaches you both. He looks disgusted.

"I came here for Billy and got this instead??" He spits before crouching in front of the captured octopus. Curiously, Gulliver prods him."I guess I can still make a hefty amount of bells off of it."

At this, both you and Zucket gasp.

"What??"

Gulliver extracts a butcher's knife, but before he can do something unforgivable, Zucker begins to squirm again.

"M-Marinaaa!" He screeches loudly. "It's happening again!!"

Before any of you can react, a large figure bursts from the waves below, spraying everything on board in freezing fish pee.

Marina lands on the deck heavily, a spade in hand.

You back away.

It takes a minute for her to notice him, but when she does, the anger in her eyes is impossible to miss.

"Zucker!" She cries before turning to meet Gulliver, her weapon raised.
"Don't worry, I'll murder them for you, blurp. We're on uncharted waters...there will be no consequences from what happens tonight."

Zucker squeaks.

"No! It's okay...I just need you to escort me back home."

At this, Marina deflates.

"Oh. That's no fun...but okay." She mumbles sadly before finally spotting you. "Good bye, Y/N! And fuck you, Gulliver. Dont think I forgot what you did to my parents...I will seize my revenge one day."

Marina cuts through the net Zucker is tangled in before helping him to his feet, offering him a fond smile.

"Let's go then, blurp." She says, before seizing one of his many tentacles and leading him across the boat.

They hop back into the water.

Once gone, you sink to your knees.

"I feel sick." You mumble, and it's true. The world is spinning, and you never want to see water again.

Gulliver scoffs as he examines his ruined net.

"That's expected from a land mammal like you." He grumbles, throwing the ruined net over the edge of the boat. The pollution!! "I am very disappointed by your lack of strength. You should've been able to beat those... octopuses...octopi... octopussi--oh no, that's not appropriate. Octopus^2? 2(octopus)?"

What a philosophical discussion!

"The latter. Octopus^2 would be (octopus)(octopus)." You contribute.

Gulliver does not appreciate your mind, and this angers you.

"Who give a shit?" He spits bitterly, refusing to meet your eye. "It was my mistake for entrusting someone like you with this! Now, I will never find my Billy."

You are sick, and you are angry. You are very impulsive right now...

Marina's comment about uncharted waters rings in your ears.

"I can help you find her." You offer quietly. As expected, Gulliver scoffs again.

"I doubt it. What are you going to do? Shove me into the--"

You shove him into the ocean.

You watch as the waves eagerly take him in, the black water dragging him underneath until he's out of sight.

You peer into the waves for hours, watching your own distorted reflection until it morphs into something unrecognizable.

Despite your dire circumstances, you were rather calm.

Something big was coming.

You knew this, but you did not understand it.

The waves calm down, anticipating.

What comes next?

You will both await it.
