7 • Dino and Monkey

Y/n pov:

I woke up to some strong arms holding my tightly around my waist. I rolled around gently to find a sleeping Kairi. He's cute. Y/n stop you can't like him. He's only here to stop you from ending it all. Right.
"Morning bambi," He mumbled.
"Morning Kai," I whispered. "Can you let me go? I need to get ready?" I asked. He nodded and let go of my waist. I slowly got up and went into my closet. I picked out an outfit and went to the bathroom to get ready. I got dressed and put on a light amount of makeup and brushed my hair into a messy bun.

I left to bathroom to find Kairi asleep on my bed. I sat next to him.
"Kai," I softly said.
"mmm," He mumbled.
"You have to get ready," I softly continued.
"mmm" He mumbled again.
"You have 10 minutes," I told him. He immediately sat up and looked at me.
"Why didn't you wake me earlier?" He said bluntly as he got out of bed and grabbed his clothes. He turned around to see me looking at him. "Can I use your shower?" He asked softly. I nodded and grabbed a towel from my closet and passed it to him quickly. He then ran to the bathroom. He came out 8 minutes later, dressed and showered. His hair was still damp.

"Come on, we have to go," I said, grabbing his hand and dragging him. I had mine and his phone in my other hand with my car keys.

We got into my car and I passed him his phone and he looked at it.
"Shit," He mumbled. "Y/n, do you mind if we pick up Alejandro and Mattia on the way to starbucks?" he asked politely. Who are they? Have I met them before? I mean there is friends I can probably trust them. Plus we have like 45 minutes until school so I have time.
"Sure, where do they live?" I asked.
"I'll direct you, they're neighbours and they live about 5 minutes away, but it's on the way to starbucks anyway." He explained. I nodded and pulled out of the driveway. He directed me to their houses and they were stood outside. I unlocked the doors and they got in the back. Ohhh it's Dino and Monkey. Ahhh. Still don't know their names though oops.
"Thanks for the lift y/n," Dino said.
"It's alright, it's on the way anyway. We're off to starbucks. Do you guys want anything?" I asked them.
They told me their orders as I pulled into Starbucks. I ordered for them and paid. Once we received the bag, I passed it to Kairi and drove to school and parked in the car park. I unclipped my seatbelt and looked over at Kairi. He handed out the food then set the bag on the arm rest for rubbish.
"Do you want me to pay for mine?" Monkey dude asked.
Kairi looked back at him, "I've already tried with that one, she'll say no, right y/n?" He looked at me. I nodded in agreement.
"Well thank you then," Monkey smiled, so did Dino.
"I mean it's the least I can do since I don't actually know what you're names are," I mumbled. I think Kairi heard me because he burst out laughing as Dino and Monkey looked clueless. Kairi calmed himself down and looked at me. I looked at him and he smiled. I passed him my wrap and I look his drunk.
"Ooo look at you guys, sharing food and drinks," Dino said in a flirty tone. Monkey laughed and Kairi glared at them.
"It's not like that," Kairi said as he huffed in frustration.
I took a drink from his drink and put it back in the cup holder. He passed me back my wrap after taking a bit and I finished it off. I then finished my drink and looked back at the boys who were talking about random shit. Kairi turned to me, "You ready to go?" He asked. I nodded.
I opened the car door and got out with everyone copying me. "Come on bambi, we have History to get to, bye guys," Kairi said as he grabbed my hand, dragging me after him gently.
"Bye Dino! Bye Monkey!" I shouted and waved at them with my free hand. They laughed and waved at me.
"Hey Kai," I said as I turned to look at him after catching up to walk beside him.
"Hey bambi," He smiled. I blushed and put my hands over my face, forgetting I was holding Kairi's. He pulled my hand away from my face that he was holding onto and made me walk again. "We're going to be late," he said as I tried to catch up with him.
We made it to class and went to sit in our seats at the back. The teacher came in seconds after we made it to our seats. He taught us about Hilter or something then moved on.
"So your assignment is a partner task, you will be working with your seat buddy and presenting it. You have 2 weeks, lessons are assignment work until presentation day. Collect a sheet from my desk as you leave," The teacher started. I looked over at Kairi and he was smiling to himself. What is he thinking about?
"Kai?" I questioned.
He shook his head and looked at me and turned red. He looked away from me to try and hide it. I smiled to myself.
"Kai, what were you thinking about?" I teased him.
"Nothing," he said quickly as he looked back at me, his tomato colour gone. He smiled at me. His smile is adorable. Gets me every time. Then the bell rang and it was time to leave. We bumped into Dino and the others in the hallway.
"Hey Kairi! Hey y/n!" They all said.
"Hey guys," Me and Kairi said.
"What do you have next y/n?" They asked me. I looked at my schedule.
"Spanish with Kai, what do you guys have?"
I said as I looked up at them.
"I have spanish with you guys," Dino and Monkey said.
"We have Italien," Roshaun said.
"Come on Bambi, let's get to Spanish. You guys coming?" He said as he took held of my hand and looked back at Dino and Monkey. They nodded and we walked away from the guys, saying goodbye.
"Y/n?" Dino said as he jogged and walked next to me.
"Yes Dino?" I asked, looking at me.
"You don't know my name do you?" He chuckled.
I shook my head, "Nope, all I know is Roshaun and Robert. Then your Dino, there's Aloe Vera and he's Monkey," I said, pointing at them. Kairi giggled beside me.
"So how come you know Kairi's name?" Monkey asked.
"We met a few weeks ago and we hung out a few times. He was my only friend as such," I explained.
"Your only friend?" Dino questioned. I nodded. "You don't have any friends beside Kairi?" He asked.
"No, but I used to," I told him. He nodded and we all walked into the classroom. Kairi let go of my hand and went to his assigned seat. I went to mine and found out that I sat beside Dino.
"Hey Dino," I said as I sat down beside him.
"Hey y/n," He smiled, "You seem like you're in a good mood today."
"It's the first good nights sleep since my - oh never mind you don't care ," I tried to laugh it off.
"No, go on, tell me," He insisted.
"I'll tell you another time," I smiled. He nodded.
The bell rang and we made our way outside. I leant against the wall outside the classroom and waited for Kairi. He sits at the back. This lesson was pretty good. Me and Dino became friends. I know that his name is Mattia now but I'm not gonna tell him that. I'll just stick to Dino.
"Hey Bambi," Kairi whispered in my ear, interrupting my thoughts. I took Kairi's hand, he looked down at our hands and smiled to himself then looked back up at me. "You ready to go to lunch?" He asked. I nodded and we made our way to lunch.
"There you are!" Mattia exclaimed as we walking into the cafeteria. He patted the seat next to him and I sat beside him, dragging Kairi by the hand, to sit with me.
"Bambi, I'm off to get some food, do you want anything?" Kairi asked.
"No thanks, I bought some with me. I'll make sure no one sits here," I said as I put my bag in the seat so no one would steal Kairi's seat. I pulled out my orange and yoghurt. Everyone looked at me. "What?" I said, confused.
"Y/n, is that all you're eating?" Mattia said, looking over at me, concerned. I nodded.
"Do you want some of my fries?" He offered. I shook my head.
"If I'm still hungry, I'll steal some of Kai's." I said. He nodded and turned back to his food. Why did he seem annoyed?
"You'll steal some of my what?" Kairi said as he moved my bag to up the bench and sat beside me, putting his tray on the table. That food looks good. Shit I'm staring.

"You want some Bambi?" Kairi whispered in my ear. I slightly nodded before shaking my head quickly. "Help yourself," He said before picking up his burger and began eating it. I ate my yoghurt and orange and started talking the boys whilst picking at Kairi's fries.
"Y/n," I heard Mattia say. I looked at him.
"Yes Dino?" I asked.
"Are you done eating my fries?" He asked. I sat up quickly and looked at Kairi, he was laughing.
"Sorry, I thought they were Kai's," I said looking back at him and turning red.
"It's okay, I wouldn't have eaten them anyway, you're all good little tomato," He said, I covered my face with my hands and everyone laughed. I felt someone pulled my hands away from my face and saw it as Kairi. He smiled at me and let go of my hands.

The rest of the day was boring. I was sat in my car waiting for Kairi since we had maths last.
Do I actually matter to anyone? Like if I just ended things here and now, would anyone notice? Like would they really? I mean my parents are gone, the only people who cared about me. The only people who loved me. So who's left.
I felt fingers intertwine with mine and someone cup my cheek and stroke it with their thumb. I blinked slowly as a tear rolled down my cheek.
"Hey Bambi," He said softly.
"Hey Kai," I whispered.
"Are you going to be okay?" He whispered. I nodded and he sat back in his seat, still holding my hand. I pulled out of the car park and drove us home.
