•Time skip two weeks later•

Y/n pov:

I woke up to a soft kiss on my forehead. I opened my eyes and saw a handsome guy beside me.
"Morning beanie," He smiled.
"Morning Monkey," I smiled.
"You're coming to my party tonight right?" He asked.
"Of course, anything for you," I replied as I got out of my bed. I looked at my phone.
"Why didn't you wake me earlier? It's 3pm?" I laugh.
"You looked so peaceful," He smiled.
"You're too sweet," I reply. "What time's the party starting?"
"I decide to start it early so at 7pm. You have 4 hours you get ready. I better go to set the party up. I'll see you later." He stood up from my bed and kissed my forehead and walked off before I could ask if I could help. Rude. Oh well, he's sweet to me and I really like him now. He means so much to me. I opened my curtains and saw Kairi sat on his bed. He looked up at me and walked over to his window and opened it.
"Hey Bambi," He said quietly.
"Hey peaches," I replied softly.
"Are you going to the party tonight?" He asked.
"Yeah, do you want to come around and get ready together? I know you're not a girl but still," I chuckled.
"Sure, I'll grab my change of clothes and come around. I'll see you in 10." He said as he closed his window and walked away. What is it with people not letting me say goodbye?
I sat on my bed and went on my phone. 10 minutes later, Kai walked into my room and sat beside me and sighed.
"How'd you get in?" I asked him curiously.
"Door was unlocked," He simply said.
"Oh, Ale must have left it unlocked. Oh well," I said.
"He stayed last night?" He asked me and looked at me.
"No, he came around this morning. I let him in and fell asleep whilst he was here." I told him.
"Is he really that boring?" He laughed. I just awkwardly chuckled and looked away.
"Don't worry, I won't tell him you said that," He laughed whilst pushing me lightly.
"What? I didn't say anything," I giggled and pushed him back. We started play fighting and he pinned me onto the bed by my hands. He looked into my eyes and sighed to himself. He flopped on the bed beside me and looked up at the ceiling. I rolled on my side and looked at him. He was lost in thought. A tear rolled down the side of his face. I took my hand and went wiped the tear away. He quickly grabbed my wrist. I whimpered. He quickly let go and took my hand.
"You didn't do it again did you?" He looked at me in my eyes. A tear rolled down my cheek. He pulled up my sleeve. His eyes softened when he saw the fresh mess I created two nights ago.
"Why?" He asked me as he took my face in his hands gently and wiped my tears away. I leaned into his hand and closed my eyes. I explained what happened.

•Flashback to last night•

"Monkeyyyy? What are you doing?" I asked him as he was on his phone on my bed.
"Nothing," He said quickly as he locked his phone and put it on the bedside table.
"Come on, let me seeee," I say playfully as I pick up his phone. I look at his lock screen. It's another girl.
"Ale, who is this?" I said as I turned the phone around and showed him the screen.
"Katie," He said bluntly and looked at me nervously.
"Who is she?" I ask seriously, trying not to cry.
"She's just my best friend. It's not different to Kairi being your lock screen." He says with attitude.
"It's no different? Kai's my best friend, and you are always there when we hang since you don't trust me. I didn't even know about Katie. How is that the same?" I snapped.
"Listen y/n, she means nothing to me. I only care about you," He tells me.
"Get out, I need to think." I snap.
"Call me later please beanie," He says as he gets up and kisses my forehead. As soon as I hear my front door close, I breakdown. Am I not good enough? I stopped hanging with Kai alone for him. Does he know how much that affected me? I miss having Kai by my side. I need him but I can't. But I know what can help...

•End of flashback•

"Oh bambi. Why didn't you call me?" He said softly as I cried in his arms.
"I couldn't. He would've just been more mad at me. But it's okay. We're fine now. He told me that she's nothing to him," I tell him.
"And you trust him?" He asks. I nod as I pull away from him.
"He's going to be mad for me hanging with you though," I tell him quietly.
"Y/n, we used to be best friends, what happened to that?" He asks softly as he looks at me. "I miss us."
"Me too," I whisper softly. I really hope he didn't hear that. But whatever I had with him made me feel so much happier than Ale being my boyfriend.
"Let's get ready, we have 2 hours now," He tells me and walks into my closet to pick out my outfit. I go into my bathroom and shower. Shit. Where's my towel? Oh shoot.
"Um Kai?" I say as I slightly open the bathroom door and peep my head out.
"Yeh? What's wrong?" he asks and looks up at me.
"Erm can you get me a towel please?" I ask awkwardly.
"Sure one sec," He goes to my closet and grabs a towel. He passes it to me and I quickly close the bathroom door. I dry myself and put on a robe. I walk out the bathroom and ask Kai for my outfit and he passes it to me. I go and get dressed.
