We walked up the stairs to the front door, it was cracked open so I knocked to make sure they were home. It took a second but Pony came to the door opening it barely, "oh hey Cat, hey Ste- woah Steve what happened to your cheek." Pony said opening the door. "Nothing Kid." He said pushing past him. Steve's never been nice Pony but I still feel bad for Pony when Steve pushes him out of the picture "he got in a fight with our pops again, but it got physical on both ends this time." I said looking up at Steve he was talking to Soda and holding a bag of ice to his cheek. "I'm sorry Cat." Pony said patting my shoulder and walking over to the couch. I walked into the kitchen Darry was cleaning dishes and preparing dinner. "Hey Darry, need any help." I said hopping on the counter. "Sure hun just mix the salad over there." He said pointing to a bowl full of lettuce and vegetables and dressing next to it. I fixed up the salad and set it on the table, Steve and Soda had moved over to the coffee table and were playing card games. I went over and sat on the couch seat behind Steve. "Hey Cat." Hey said turning to look at me then going back to his game. I picked my feet up and laid across the couch. I watched them play card games for a half an hour or so, the door opened and I lifted my head up just barely. In a split second a shine gold shown in the doorway, my heart stopped. It was Two.
