I woke up not long after, and it couldn't have been longer than 30 minutes that I was asleep. Two was slumped over the papers flipping through them. I sat up and faced him, "Two ?" he lifted his head and turned. "You're still here?" I questioned. He smiled, "Ya I thought it was best if I helped speed this up, man is this hard." he said with a chuckle. "Well I should be heading out." He said standing up  and kissing my cheek. "Oh, that sounds good I've got homework anyways." I said standing up and grabbing my backpack from beside the door. "I'll see you later." Two said waving and walking out the door. I waved and walked over to the desk, I watched him leave from the window and smiled. When he was out of view I turned back to face the desk. A couple more jobs had been circled and a notebook paper full of notes was next to the papers.
                  Top Jobs
Bartender - No too young
Barber assistant - maybe
Waiter at the Dingo - Hey, I get to work with food!
Clerk at Macy's - I don't know. ;/
Housekeeper - Can't even keep my own house clean.
Movie theater clerk - Hey that sounds interesting.
Janitor - I'm not the best at cleaning but it pays well
Cashier at Grocery store - Good money, Could be fun.
Apprentice Butcher - Ya I could do that.

The list stopped there but it seemed to look like he spent quite a long time thinking through all of these jobs. I pushed the papers aside for later and went on to my homework. I studied for a while for my final finals in History class. I could hear Steve  come home after about an hour. He didn't even stop to say hi. I never knew he could be this angry at me and it hurt a little. I finished my studying and walked out to the living room. Dad wasn't home as usual so I decided to head into the kitchen, there was nothing in the fridge because I forgot to go grocery shopping at the beginning of the week. I decided my best option was going out to get food. I walked back down the hallway stopping at Steve's door. I opened it slowly, He was fishing through a drawer for something. He looked up to acknowledge me and then turned back to the drawer. "Um...so I'm gonna head out and get food do you want something." He just shook his head and kept looking through the drawer. I rolled my eyes and closed the door and walked out the front door. It wasn't dark yet but it was getting there so I decided to look for the closest place. I picked up some stuff for a salad at the store and headed back home. I was pretty fast about getting home since it was finally starting to get dark and I saw some drunk Soc's driving around earlier. I got home and made my food and went back to my room, I sat down going through the newspapers while eating. I kept trying to think like Two , what he would choose. I had references for what he was interested in and what he wasn't interested in because of the list of things but it still wasn't very helpful. I shoved it aside and finished my food, I stared out the window for a while but to no avail. I cleaned my plate and put it in the cupboard, I walked back into my room and grabbed the papers. Steve  knew I couldn't do this on my own that's why he said I had to do it alone. But this wasn't about me anymore, this wasn't about Two anymore it was about his future in general. I ran out of the house trying to spend as little time as possible outside the house and alone. I bolted to the Curtis  house, and ran inside. "Woah slow down kid what's wrong!" Darrys said standing up. "Oh...nothing....just-just don't like being alone at night." I said trying to regain my breath. "Jesus kid don't scare me like that." He said with a little smile. "Have you seen Two ?" I said taking a breath. "Ya he's in the restroom." Pony said looking up from his book. "Ah, thanks." I said with a sigh of relief, I sat down on the couch and waited for him to walk out. After a while he left the restroom and was surprised to see me. He walked over and gave me a hug, "I didn't expect you to be here normally you're finishing your homework." He said sitting down on the floor beside the couch. "For once I dont have much, just a short paragraph, we only have Two days of school left." I laughed. "Oh, ya." He said smiling and looking back up at me. "Anyways, I need your help." I said leaning over the couch arm to hand him the list he made and the newspapers. "I wanted to do this alone, you know that." I said taking a second to sit back up. "But nobody knows you better than you." I said sitting up. He laughed and flipped through the papers. "I thought it would be best if you were the one to make the final decision." I said watching him read carefully through the papers. "Well...guess I have my own homework to do." He said laughing.  "I guess I'll be heading home." He said standing up holding the papers tightly. I stood up following him out the door. "You're coming with?" He questioned turning to face me as he opened the gate. "I've learned from my mistakes trying to walk home alone at night." I said laughing and walking out the gate while he closed it behind me. "Ya, don't remind me." He laughed. He wrapped his arm around me and we started walking towards my place. We made it to my front step and he walked me up to the door giving me a quick kiss and walking back down the stairs. "I'll look over this." He said waving the papers up above him. "You promise?" I said opening the door. "I promise." He said with a smile.
