An hour had passed and I couldn't sit inside anymore, I walked out to the porch and sat on the bench restlessly. After a while I stood up pacing the porch. The streetlights had come on and it was growing silent outside. I looked down kicking a rock around trying to take my mind off of what could be happening right now. I heard what sounded like faint footsteps and I shot my head up. It was too dark to see anything but I could make out a figure, the figure slowly walked under the streetlight and all I needed to see was the flash of that rusty blonde hair. He looked up catching my glance, he had a couple bruises and a tiny cut on his cheek but other than that he looked fine. I bolted off the porch swinging the gate open and rushing over to him. I flung myself onto him wrapping my arms around his neck and holding him tightly. He froze in shock slowly putting his hands around my waist. "You didn't hurt nobody did ya?" I said pulling away to face him. "I can't speak for Dallas but I didn't hurt nobody." he said, smirking. I laid my head against his chest, we stood there embracing each other for a while before pulling away to walk back to the house. "I'm proud of you." I said smiling. "Where is Dal anyway?" I questioned. "Oh he headed back to Buck's for a beer and to get his lip stitched up." Two said looking back over at me. "He didn't get hurt too bad did he?" I said looking back at him. "I'm not sure, you were right though Bob didn't look so good." He said looking down. "I kinda felt bad seeing what the aftermath of that turned out like, but I'm not gonna say he didn't deserve it for what he did to you." Two looked sorrowful but tough at the same time. I opened the door to the inside. "Look who I found!" I said as I closed the door behind us. "Woah, looks like it got rough." Soda said as he walked around me. "This is nothing you should've seen Dallas." Two said sitting down. "I'll get a bandage for your cheek." I said walking into the restroom to grab the first aid kit and setting it down on the coffee table. Darry plated up some of the food and brought it in for Two while I cleaned and bandaged the cut on his cheek. After a while Steve had gone home so he could get up for work in the morning, and I decided it was best I went home since it was getting late. I had already gotten a fair ways away from the house when I heard footsteps running up behind me. Their hands grabbed my shoulders and I spun around slapping them. "Ow! Damn!." Two said stumbling backwards. "Oh my god Two!" I yelled, shooting an arm forward to help stabilize him. "Jesus, you've got a strong arm." He said with a little laugh cupping his cheek in his hand. "And apparently good aim because you hit the only cheek that's already split open." he said, pulling his hand away to show the bandage that had fallen off dripping blood. "Oh god!" I said pulling him over to the curb and sitting him down. I looked around for something but couldn't find anything to stop the bleeding. I looked down at my shirt and ripped a tiny piece off, then sitting down next to him. "Sorry about that, I really am." I said looking over at him, and holding the cloth against his cheek. "Nah don't sweat it, That slaps impressive though." He said laughing. He had a dark red print showing up on his cheek. "Ye-yeah I guess so." I said with a little laugh. I pulled the cloth away and reapplied the bandage helping him up. "I thought I might walk you home." He said walking behind me. "Well isn't that sweet of you." I said looking over at him. He wrapped an arm around my waist pulling me closer to him, "Just looking out for you." He said, giving me a little kiss on the cheek. I smiled and leaned my head against him. We talked quietly for a while before my house was in sight. "Well Mathews, I best be on my way." I said, turning to face him giving him a little kiss on the cheek. I turned back around starting towards my house when Two grabbed my wrist playfully pulling me back towards him and into a kiss. It was the longest most intimate kiss we'd shared and it felt like heaven. I pulled away for a breath smiling at him. "I love you Catherine." He said holding onto my hand. I placed my other hand on his cheek. "I love you too Keith." I said giving him one last kiss. I pulled away walking up the steps to the house, it was quiet for once so my dad must have been at the bar. I turned back around waving at Two, he smiled and gave a little wave turning around and walking away. I snuck back through the dark hallways to my bedroom closing the door silently behind me. I wiped the little tears that had been welling in my eyes and changed out of my clothes and into a sweater. I laid down on my bed cuddling my pillow, I didn't even notice how much I was smiling. I can't believe we officially said it. Were we a thing now...Or are we just a fling.
