I don't think I've ever taken the time to stare at the stars, man I know Pony likes those sunsets but the stars look like shining diamonds in the sky. I could get lost in these stars forever if I had the chance, the ground was soft and cushiony so I laid back resting my head on the grass. It was cold and the breeze was pricking my arms, I stared up at the sky for a while before I finally felt my stress levels go down. I sat up looking at the ground, I was just stalling a reason to go home. Not having to confront Steve till tonight wasn't something I was planning on doing tonight. I stood up and walked over to the sidewalk kicking some rocks out of the way and a tin can that was seated in the middle of the concrete. I would have kept kicking it but it was loud and I felt like being mildly considerate of the people sleeping. I kept walking slowly staring down at the ground till I heard footsteps, I turned but there was nothing there. I wasn't about to wait around to find out what that noise was so I picked up my pace and continued walking, but as I did the footsteps behind me got louder.  I turned quickly and knocked into whoever was behind me, it pushed me backwards and I tripped on the uneven concrete taking whoever it was with me. "Bob!" I yelped trying to push him off of me, he smirked and pinned my arms down. "Get O-." I started as he held his hand over my mouth. "C'mon boys." He said looking up, other socs started appearing from behind trees and from shadows. "Let's put this greaseball In her place." He said taking his hand off of my mouth to put it back on my arm. I didn't take time to think I just slipped into fight or flight mode and kneed him in the chest pushing myself up from the jagged cement. I hurried to my feet scraping my knee against the ground in the process, I let out a yelp but It wasn't the time for crying. I sped off to the park entrance but I could hear him chasing after me. "GET BACK HERE!" He shouted after me, I tripped on the concrete hitting the ground hard, scraping my cheek and palms of my hands. "AGH!" I yelled with what little air didn't get knocked out of my lungs when I hit the ground, I had distance between us and the chance to get up so I took it bolting out of the park. "I'M GONNA PUMMEL YOU LIKE YOU'VE NEVER BEFORE!" He yelled all I could hear was the beating of my feet on the concrete and the overpowered beating of my heart, I swore I was gonna have a heart attack if I had to run any longer. I tripped up the grass hill, I could see my house in the distance I was so close. Climbing up the hill I felt a hand on my shoulder, it ripped me back off the hill back onto the split of concrete and grass. "You're gonna make me work for it huh!" He yelled in my face. I didn't respond trying to squirm out of his grasp, "so it's gonna be like that." He said with a firm slap on my cheek. "Please let me go." I whispered quietly squirming. "What's that speak up!" He yelled he reeked of alcohol. "Please let me go!" I yelled back in his face. He grabbed my jaw, squeezing hard, "hold your tongue, your better seen not heard." I kicked and squirmed underneath him as he struggled with me. "Don't make me do it!" He said flicking open a switchblade. "NO! NO PLEASE LET ME GO!" I yelled as loud as I could, he placed the blade against my neck. I felt like I was going to black out my life seemed to be flashing before my eyes and I could feel a head rush, all the pain from the scrapes and cuts was starting to kick in and my adrenaline was running low. "GET OFF OF ME!" I yelled using the last of my energy to try to push him off but he wouldn't budge. I leaned my head back in defeat as he pushed the tip of the blade against the crook of my neck. I exerted a few more breaths before playing against the cold concrete. "See, it's not that hard." He said keeping the blade where it was. "All you had to do was be quiet." He pulled back, keeping the knife against my neck. I closed my eyes tight as an impulse when the blade barely cut the side of my throat and flew out of his hand. A black figure knocked him to the ground and jumped on top of him. I looked up at the streetlight, I didn't notice it when Bob was on me but it was a relief to see it. I heard struggling and finally the black figure stood up, Bob was motionless for a while until he flinched his arm just barely moving. The figure walked near me but all I needed to see was the shining reflection of his hair, "Two!?" I quietly questioned if a headache was starting to form. He dropped to his knees next to me and I could see tears in his eyes. He pulled me up into his arm holding me close against his chest, "I'm right here kitten, it's me you're ok." He said, pulling me up against him. "I'm so sorry kitten, I-I shouldn't have left you alone I'm never gonna do it again." He said hugging me tight, I could feel his muffled sobs and short breaths. I used the little strength I'd gained to wrap my arms around his neck and hold myself close to him. "Two, I...I lo-...I lov-." I started but everything went dark, my body felt heavy as my arms slowly slid off of his neck and hung down by my sides arms he hurriedly picked me up and dashed off. Then everything went quiet. I couldn't hear anything anymore, I couldn't feel anything anymore, I couldn't see anything anymore.
