Te Adore (Book One)

Chapter Nine

Two jerked back and I turned to see Pony standing in the hallway. "Oh crap." I whispered under my breath. "Hey kid." Two said awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. "Ow!" I said sheltering my eyes from the lights. I turned and buried my eyes in the couch arm. That certainly didn't help my headache. Two places a hand on my back, "hey turn the lights off." He said slowly rubbing my back. The lights quickly flipped off, "thanks." I muttered, rubbing my eyes. "Pl-please say I didn't see what I think I saw." Pony said, rubbing his temple. "Sorry kid." Two said looking back over at me. "Agh, gross excuse me while I wash my eyes." Pony said walking into the kitchen shaking his head, I let out a little giggle and Two joined in. Pony poured a cup of water and sat down at the kitchen table. I layed back down against the couch rubbing my temples, Two laid his hand on my shoulder. We talked for a while before Pony decided to join us in the living room, he couldn't concentrate on his book so he just sat and joined in on the conversation. It was almost 10 when Pony went back to his room, Two leaned his back against the couch and I laid on my side, my back facing the couch. I ran my fingers through his hair while we relaxed, but it was late and I could feel myself getting more and more tired. I slowly dropped my hand down until it was laying on his shoulder, I felt his hand come up and hold mine before I finally fell asleep.
~The Next Morning~
I woke up to the bustle of cooking in the kitchen and talking on the porch. Two wasn't where he was last night so I groggily sat up, steadying myself on the arm of the couch. The sun wasn't like the lights, I couldn't just shut it off so I had to adapt to my headache. Two walked in with a plate of food but quickly sat it down after seeing me awake. "Hey Kitten can I get you something." He said setting down his plate of food. "Just water, thanks." I said looking up squinting. "I'm in it." He said walking back into the kitchen. I attempted to adjust my eyes to the light as Two walked back into the room with a cup of water. "Here you go kitten." He said handing me the water and sitting down on the floor next to me. I slowly sipped on the water, it was like the worst hangover I'd ever had. Being I have only ever had one and swore to never drink again after that, I guess you could say I'm a lightweight though I won't admit it. Pony and Johnny joined me on the couch and watched Mickey Mouse with Two, one thing that annoyed others about Two was his childish attractions but that's what I loved most about him. He was unapologetically addicted to things that made him happy and he made it obvious, I found it amusing and attractive. I found everything about him attractive, because I loved him.
