Corinth Pov
"So Corinth you know that you can't go like that right?" Kimmy asked while looking me up and down like I had gone insane.
Kimmy was dressed with a white cropped top that made her cleavage too noticeable, with high waisted jeans and white heal. Her make up accentuated her beautiful blue eyes and her lips were painted nude.
"I think I look ok," I said while scratching my scalp.
"No, what you wear to a funeral is not ok." She said in a serious tone.
"I don't look like I'm going to a funeral," I said while looking over to the mirror and taking another look at my outfit. "I think I did a pretty good job." I nodded proudly.
" Aunty Lianne," Kimmy shouted.
"Ok ok, don't call her I'll let you dress me," I said within one breath not trying to have my mom give me a long lecture on not letting my past control my entire life.
"Never mind," Kimmy shouted with a devilish grin planted across her face. " Your mom actually left when I came."
"You little," I said while shaking my head.
"Ok so after getting you an outfit, I'm going to do your makeup." She squealed excitedly. "I already know what eyeshadow I'm going to put on you, Caleb isn't going to be able to take his eyes off of you," Kimmy said while walking toward my closet.
" I don't think Caleb would even look at me," I said nervously why fiddling with my fingers.
"You are beautiful Corinth, you do know that I know how difficult it is to live and believe that after what you have been through," Kimmy said while walking back into the room with clothing draped over her arm.
"Can you promise me that you would stay by my side tonight, in case something happens," I said in a whisper. While staring blankly at the floor.
"Are you sure you want to go tonight, I mean Alexa would understand," Kimmy said concerned reflected in her eyes.
"Yeah I am, tonight means a lot to her, I won't miss it, as you said before I can't let what happened to me stop me from living," I said while snatching the clothes from her hands. I felt an urge of strength in my veins and for once I wanted to live.
"I promise I'll stay by your side no need to worry." Kimmy voiced.
After throwing on the clothes. I felt weird. I looked beyond different but I was willing to try something new.
"You look amazing." Kimmy said while looking me up and down." So like I'm going to be borrowing that dress in the future."
I was dressed in a black tight fitted dress that stopped a bit above knee length. There was a deep cut by the cleavage area and long sleeves.
"I look very different," I said while hiding my cleavage area.
"If you don't feel comfortable wearing it, we could always find something else," Kimmy said in an optimistic tone
"No, it's ok, so makeup," I said with a smile.
"Ok." I sent up a weird grin.
After about an hour of ' Yes baby that's it' and ' Maybe.' Kimmy was finally done.
"You look so gorgeous," Kimmy said. While spinning me around to face the mirror.
The person in the mirror looked so different. I had a Smokey eye with gold highlights that made my skin look goddess-like. I almost didn't recognize myself by the way she did it. My blue eyes that resembled the faded night sky looked at me and the first time I looked back wanting to understand the person on the other side.
