Corinth

Caleb had thrown a fit, he grabbed my hands but he didn't take me with him. He just let go. I stood there glancing between the old couple that had just opened up there home to us, and provided us with breakfast and the door that Caleb had just slipped out of.

"I am so sorry John and Laura." I began picking up the splintered glass and drying the spilled tea from around the mat that stood by the table.

"What did I say?" John held my hands. Trembling as to what had occurred.

"It's not your fault Mr. John, him acting the way he did, no matter what was said, isn't on you." I held out a comforting hand and placed it on his shoulder.

"Are you sure?, he seemed hurt, like what John said destroyed the rest of his world." Ms.Laura poured another glass of tea for me.

"He needs a lot of love Corinth, you need to stay by him, John had a past as well, one that made him hate the world but when he met me I fought to make him see reason and a reason to stay." She held my hand and planted me on the seat nearest.

"But how do I help him?" I questioned looking into her eyes.

"In this life consistency is the key," she placed her hands on mine while looking at me dead in the eye." Showing them that no matter how hard things get, proving to them that although this world may be a lot to bare, that they don't have to do it alone." A tear slipped from her eyes.

"Just like anyone else I myself had a past, my dad was an alcoholic and I watched him abuse my mom for years and when I met John, I fought to change all of that, together we fought to make our world a place where love could dwell." She took his hand and kissed it. It reminded me of how special Caleb made me feel despite the horrid things I had been through.

"When that boys dad died, that child lost it, he would scream and throw tantrums, the whole neighborhood grieved along with them, Ethan was a one in a kind man." John spoke up.

"But what exactly happened?"

"There was this one friend that came over a lot, he was a friend of the family, one of Ethan's school mate that never parted. . ."

"To be honest with you, we are a bit old and if I am to continue I may not be the best person to get the information from, try speaking to his mother Tyanna." Laura further informed.

"Tyanna?" I questioned. I did notice that they called a Surname from before that didn't match the Adams but were called Johnson's.

"That's his mother's name." She smiled. I didn't ask any further.

"Thank you very much both of you." My eyes welled in emotion and I could feel my heart thudding. What they had shared with me was something that I was never thought in this life, up till then. The power of love. I wasn't sure, I loved Caleb yet. I hadn't loved myself long enough to understand what love was but I was willing for him. Willing to save him from himself.

"You're most welcome." They kissd each other;I stood up and smiled.

"I need to find him."

"There was somewhere he would always go with his father, a cabin that over looked a lake, he would tell stories of them going there, he often said that when he found that special person he would carry them there."

"Thank you, Ms. Laura, I know exactly where you speak of."

I took long strides. Hoping that time was enough to save him, that me and time was enough to conquer the evil of this world. The suicide of insanity, trickled through my veins. Wanting to believe that the letters that I wrote to the stars smeared in my blood was the antidote. Help me save him would be my final wish.
