Corinth Pov

He got up and walked away.

I ran toward him and pulled his hands for him to meet my stare but he doesn't move. Inertia was his best friend.

"I didn't mean to."

"It's ok Corinth, I never meant to make you uncomfortable." He wasn't angry he blamed himself for something.

"It's ok you didn't it's just. . ."

"You don't need to tell me any more," he finally turned to look at me " tell me when you trust me enough, tell me when hiding isn't all you think about when you're around me, I'll wait." He reaches forward and kisses my forehead. I froze not because I was scared; I didn't flinch either but it made me feel tingly inside.

"Let me take you home." He smiled.

The ride home was peacefully chorused by the wind telling us its darkest secret. A night of sharing. I wondered if the stars told their secrets to the clouds hoping that it didn't fall with the rain to be exposed for everyone to know. I was grateful for Caleb.

"Where did you go yesterday? the principal flipped." Kimmy asked. As we strolled through the hall.

The morning had come as quickly as the blink of an eye.

"Uhmm." I nervously let out.

"Shenelle got into a lot of trouble, we informed the principal about everything but you disappearing like that didn't look good," Kimmy explained.

"So Shenelle was responsible?" I questioned.

"Didn't you know." she said tapping her temple "I guess you didn't, yeah she just came up to us and slammed you to the floor it was crazy." Kimmy laughed in her speech but her voice was laced with anger and dejections.

"I don't get it though, what have I ever done to her?" I said in a low tone.

"Mr.Pierre said that he needs to see you and I called aunty Lianne and she is already on her way back." Kimmy further informed.

"You did what?" I said annoyance apparent. "I didn't want to get her involved in this; you know better than anyone how she gets."

I sigh in frustration.

"I'm sorry I just care about you a lot and what you have been through I. . ."

I stopped her, for some odd reason the pity that she served; I consumed it and anger was the digestion process.

"Haven't we all been through something, just like you losing your parents, couldn't you have at least considered what I wanted first. "I snapped.

She took a few steps back.

"I'm sorry Kimmy I didn't mean to bring that up," I said apologetically.

"I. . . But she interjected before I finished.

"Corinth I get that you're upset but that was low, beneath you even." her voice was shaky but her anger was evident.

"How do you out pizza the hut?" Derrick asked as he joined us.

When none of us answered he did." Impossible" Derrick said jokingly. He noticed the tension and bites his nails

"Don't tell me you guys are planning a murder without my permission." he looked between both of us before continuing "Oh I get it, it's a secret." He whispered.

"I'm really good at kee. . ."

"Derrick for once could you be quiet!" Kimmy said in a harsh tone. She then took off leaving us behind.
