Caleb's Pov

"Shenelle, what happened back at the club last night." I could feel my chest threatening to escape its hold. After Corinth told me about last night's event. I couldn't wrap my head around it, how could I have?

"Well should I refresh your memory." She placed her cold hands on my face;
And I jerked back, her very touch was like poison.

"What are you doing?" I held her hand. Slamming her against the wall.

"Last night you weren't complaining." She bit her lip while exuding confidence.

"I was drunk, Shenelle. What is wrong with you?" I yelled still holding her against the wall of her room.

"We were both drunk Caleb, do you think I'm attracted to you?" She raised her left brow. " I mean if you want me to be I could." She licked her lips.

"Are you crazy?, I've hated you since our parents met, you blame the entire world for your mom's death and now your driving Corinth away with it." I moved away.

"I saw her last night before I kissed you, I wanted that bitch to feel pain, that's all she deserves." She spat out in a sadistic tone.

"You aren't making any sense, you never met her until that day I invited her over."

"We met long before that." Her voice goes low." Im tired Caleb, get out of my room." She doesn't look at me anymore and walked toward her bed and layed in her dark brown sheets.

"Leave her alone." I said sharply." I'm getting her back."

"Close the door on your way out."she ignores my previous statement.

I raced down stairs. There mom was standing. She seemed lost in thought.

"Caleb." She spoke up but doesn't look at me." What are you doing?, when Corinth called me last night I had hoped that you had figured things out." She placed her glasses down and gently rubbed it.

"I tried."

"No you Didn't, first you left her crying on the lawn that day, I watched as she fell apart, and there she had to find you drunk in a club." She finally turns to look at me. Her eyes fixated on mines as she readjusted her glasses. She wore contacts most of the time but at home she didnt.

"I want to get her back but things are messed up, she saw Shenelle and I kissing."

"I heard everything just now, I passed by Shenelle's room," her voice was low but laced with hints of dejection." I always thought she was too good for you but I guess you proved me right."

"I'm going to get her back."

"I think you already lost her." She took off toward the stairs.

"I will." I whispered lowly.

I decided to go over to her house. I decided that starting where home was to her was my best bet.

I walked out toward the street. The cold winter air was dancing a long my shirt. I sped off on my motorcycle. It took my mind away from everything. My world was pulling away from me. Everything around me collapsing all at once.

Now standing in front of her door step. I know she hadn't left work as yet since I observed that the shop opened at 11 and when I got there it was a little after 12.

The door swings open and I came face to face with Joshua. I turned to walk away. I already knew he hated me. I wanted to modify his ideology of me but his perception was so strong willed.

"Hey." I stopped. " Can we talk?" I turned to face him.

"I was about to say the same thing." He said and I looked back at him and nodded.
