Corinth's Pov
" I actually wasn't aware that anyone could get any more staler until I met you." Joshua joked as he swerved around a couple of cars on our way home.
"It wasn't that bad, and staler is so not a word."
"Lets not focus on my vocabulary right now, you seriously should at least get funnier jokes." He smiled at me. We had left Alexa's house like 15 minutes ago and we were nearly at the house.
"Do you think mom would be upset? Considering she has been planning around today all year?" I asked as I slightly tapped the lining of the window; as the houses became memories.
"Well I mean, since you are sort of upset with her she might let you go, but me, I'm not too sure." To which I began laughing.
"Valid point, I'm fine, but you, your in a bit of a mess." I slapped my thigh as I felt like my knees were too far.
"Have I ever told you that I didn't like you?" He asked his voice a little sarcastic.
"No," I held my chin " I definitely don't think you have ever said such harsh words."
"Well, I really really don't like you." He stressed on the second really.
"Yeah you totally love me, it's quite understandable." I slapped his back a bit. Causing him to lightly go forward and the car began to skid. We hadn't noticed how hard the rain was pouring.
The car slid unto the pavement a bit, "Corinth hold on." Joshua yelled. He turned the car to face the road avoiding any of the street post that stood there. My breathing was heavy and so was his.
"Don't do that again." He all but laughs and I felt like a elephant sat on my windpipe. I couldn't breathe. Time stood still. " Hey, I was kidding." His voice faded out. I heard laughing. The man's voice was there, Luke's face flashed across.
"Corinth." Joshua screamed. My eyes slowly closing. The outside world felt far. And before I knew it I was gone. Meeting the darkness.

"What happened?" We're the panic stricken words I awoke too. I was in a hospital bed. I seemed to find my way here a lot. As if life directed me to unsafe measures.
"We were coming back from. . . "
"Where did you two go?" Mom's voice got clearer. I looked around the room. My head still throbbing and I could hear a sharp screech.
"I I. . ." Joshua stuttered.
"He took me for ice-cream." I bellowed as I sat up laying against the mountain of pillows that I'm sure mom brought from home. " how long was I out for this time?" I laughed as I looked around the room nonchalantly.
I didn't notice Caleb, Kimmy or Derrick.
"Ice-cream?" Mom raced a quizzical brow that seemed kind, almost as if she pretended to accept.
Joshua mouthed ' thank you' and I almost caught myself laughing.
" How long have I been out?" I asked.
"Maybe 6 hours, by the way I brought your gifts here in case you wanted to go through them."
"I can't at least not right now mom." I was never big on receiving gifts, and she knew that. I guess she brought it to maybe lighten up the mood a bit.
"Where is everyone else?" I had initially decided on now inquiring because they hadn't bring them up.
"Caleb has been by your side since he got here, his mom contacted him a little while before you got up, and Kimmy and Derrick, they were just here actually, most likely stepped out to get something."
