I woke up with an extreme headache. My head was Lansing and I felt my stomach twist into knots.
I knew exactly what today meant. I would be facing a judicial system that was flawed hoping that they would hear me out.
I had been staring at the ceiling. The nauseous feeling never going away. I even tried laying on my side and adjusting my neck into a position that Google said would take the headache away. But it didn't work.
I almost thought for a Secondth that it was more than just a headache and upset stomach, the results on Google regularly diagnose you with some really traumatic sicknesses.
My phone chimes.
Message from the group
Derrick: Are you two up?
Me: I've been up a little while, not feeling that well
Kimmy: Hey guys, yeah I'm up, Corinth are you ok, do u thinks it's because of the trial?
Me: I mean thats definitely a possibility.
Derrick: it could also be your menstrual cycle, women experience a lot of varying symptoms leading up to it, or it could be just that.
Kimmy: Derrick you really surprise me sometimes.
Me: I mean you could be right, but Its not suppose to come for another few days.
Derrick: it's the stress.
Derrick: the stress of today and everything that comes with seeing them again.
"Hey hun, it's already half seven, you can come down for breakfast."
"Ok mum, I'll be right there, I was talking to Kimmy and Derrick."
Me: hey guys I'm gonna go get some breakfast and get ready, I'll see you guys there."
I didn't give room for them to respond and I threw my phone on the bed. While I gently rubbed my forehead.
I strutted down stairs and met mom and Joshua already snacking on some toast. "Good morning Josh."
"Morning Sleepy bones." He smiled as he took a sip of his orange juice.
I grabbed myself a plate from inside the cabinet and walked over to the stove and dished out some egg and collected a few slices of toast.
I shut my eyes tightly when I felt my head lancing and I staggered across to the counter.
"Corinth are you ok?" My mom glances across to me, her eyes dazzling with worry.
"I think so, just have a slight headache." I smiled while ignoring the way my stomach felt. It felt like liquid was clawing at my throat to exit through my mouth and I lightly gagged. Causing a bit of acid to serenade my tongue and I squinted my eyes a bit.
"Corinth are you sure?" She looked at me intensely and she ran her hand through her hair fustratddly before sighing loudly.
"It's just the exhaustion, I feel nervous in regards to today."
"I'll give you a Panadol and some andrews, hopefully that works." She got up and collected the tablets from the cabinet and filled a cup of water. "Take this after you finishing eating, I have to give Mr.gooding a call and then I'm going to get ready." To which I just shook my head and Joshua just continued playing his video game.
" Hey toad shiz, you gonna dress soon or?" I asked while crunching on the toast, which was mixed with the well seasoned egg.
"Yeah I'm just finishing up this game with Dillon." He informed. Dillon was his room mate back in college. Anytime we Vc I would catch a glimpse of him.
