Corinth Pov

"Hey guys" I had just finished dressing and I had finally built up the courage to interact with everyone.

"It took you a while." Kimmy smiles and runs in to hug me. "I got you something." She eyed Derrick and he ran outside.

"You know you didn't have to."

"But I wanted to, and that's what counts, you always said that." Mom and they just stood there. It kind of made me anxious.

"You got me on that one, also your gift is upstairs." I winked.

"You hypocrite." She slapped my shoulder slightly causing me to lightly tilt forward.

I did realize that I hadn't seen Caleb anywhere downstairs. I just assumed he went to the bathroom or something.

"Mom where is Caleb?"

"I'm right here." He walks in from the kitchen and his eyes immediately finds mines. "I wouldn't leave, you mean to much, your my Christmas gift."

"That was a bit corny." Kimmy face palmed herself. " but I'll allow it."

"Sis can we speak for a bit?" Joshua also enters the room and I hold my breath. I wanted to forgive them, but I couldn't let it go so soon, it wasn't easy.

"Sure." I gave Caleb an reassuring smile. I had been pushing him away so much. He didn't deserve it.

"And you're my gift this Christmas." I softened my glance and lightly folded my lips.

I followed Joshua to the back of the house. It had been a while since we had ventured back there. Mom had started a garden, and she warned me not to go trampling around on her green babies.

There were, roses and lilies. The sunflowers were the most breathtaking.

"I passed here, but where we are going were gonna have to take the truck."

"Where. . ."

"No questions, you want answers I'm gonna give them to you, I'm tired of you hating me." His eyes held so much venom. I couldn't properly decipher what he was feeling.

"Ok." He grabbed my hand. We walked toward the truck, trying to avoid anyone spotting us.

"Before we go." I stopped in front of the truck. " I just need to message Caleb."

"That's not a good idea." He takes the phone and shoved it into his pocket.

"Hey, that's not exactly fare, he is going to want answers."

"And what exactly do you plan on telling him?" He forced me to look at him." What I'm going to show you, it revolves around him."

I didn't respond. I just nodded and climbed in. I guess I wanted answers more. I wanted to fill in the blank spaces my mind had painted into my head.

"How far exactly are we going?" We had pass a couple of houses and where we were going seemed oddly familiar.

"No questions, at least not yet Cori." He briefly glanced over at me before he focused his eyes back to the road.

I knitted my fingers and closed my eyes. Peeping them open ever so often to take in the outside world or to decipher whether or not the surroundings were familiar.

"We're here." The car came to an abrupt stop. We were in front of Alexa's home.

I looked over at him, my eyebrows narrowed and I pursed my lips. But I didn't ask any questions. I just remained quiet.
