Corinth's Pov
"Corinth your mom wants to know whether or not you two are coming back in for dinner?' Kimmy announces sending me a smirk. while I pulled myself out of Caleb's hold.
"Great timing Kimmy," Caleb said in a knowing tone.
"What did she say?" Kimmy grinned.
"I said yes." I smiled at him and ran down off the rooftop and into the nearest creek. my face was definitely red. I felt flushed. no moment in my life resembled this.
Kimmy quickly follows "Did you really say yes?"
"Yeah I did, it's weird to think that with everything that happened this year that someone would come and change everything that I hated about the world." I looked at my best friend and for the first time, she was speechless. Her eyes widened with hope and I felt it resonating toward me. I was hopeful too, hopeful that better was coming my way.
'Say something." I joked as I started walking ahead
"It's just watching you this happy after everything makes chills run up and down." I caught a glimpse of her smiling over my shoulder.
"Don't go all soft on me there." I chuckled as I smiled back at her.
"Me never." she scoffs and walks stealthily past me and leaves me in the corridor.
I stood standing in the hall and I walk over to the restroom to drench my face in the water. Won't want mom to know I was crying.
"Hey, mom," I announced smiling as I entered the living room. Mom was munching on a red specked apple.
"Where is Caleb?" I asked looking around the empty dining room with Kimmy still looking for yogurt. At least I presumed she was.
"He just left, his mom called for him, he said to apologize on his behalf," Kimmy announced turning around with her mouth overflowing with milk.
"Kimmy?"
"What no yogurt so the only other option was Milk." Mom and I chorused into laughter.
"And she gets weirder by the day." I smiled.
"Says the one who can't tell funny jokes."
"No fighting girls."

"So today we accept, members into the group." Kimmy and I had been back and forth from the office and getting letters to excuse us from classes to get all the paperwork filed up.
"Thanks for doing this with me." I thanked Kimmy with a grateful smile as we walked along the corridors for like the 7th time in the last half hour.
"You know you don't need to thank me right, well I mean yogurt does just fine." she nudged her shoulder into mine as she swayed her hips.
"Yogurt, so expensive." I scoffed.
" I haven't seen your lover boy for the day." Kimmy pointed out.
"He should be here soon principal Pierre required them to attend the sessions and they had to express something about themselves," I went on to explain as I sorted through the papers in my hand.
"That's unique, I wonder what that dip shit Luke is going to share with us. I can't believe he gets to walk after what he did, I look forward to cutting his dick off in court." She crumpled her fist. I wonder if that's how she planned on removing his escalabar.
The thought of his name made me feel sick. Trusting a stranger with all that you are still scared me. But with Caleb, I wanted to try being vulnerable to let the stars write me a letter and say that happiness could be mine. Just for once.
