"Do you see that?" Kayden pointed at the night sky.

Nakahiga kami pareho sa nakalatag na tela at tinitingala ang mga bituin sa kalangitan.

"Anong meron jan?" tukoy ko sa isang constellation na iginuhit niya pa gamit ang kanyang daliri.

"The brightest one, that is Sirius."

"It looks like a dog figure." I chuckled.

"Yes, that's why sometimes it is called a dog star." he said a matter of factly.

Mangha naman akong napalingon sa kanya dahil sa kaalamang iyon. He knew a lot about this.

"Really? Wow." tumango siya.

"Makes me want to think that I am meant to be named after that star."

"Bakit naman?" kumunot ang noo ko.

"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. And I think I am like that to you." klaro niyang sabi.

My heart hammered inside my chest. He just indirectly said that he loves me more than himself! I don't know how to react to that.

"Hmm, I'm kinda grateful that my parents named me after Sirius. When my time already comes, I want the people I love to remember me whenever they see that star." he said smiling.

Mataman lang akong nakatitig sa kanya habang ang atensyon niya ay nasa langit, hindi makalimot sa kanyang sinabi kanina.

I just want to get lost in his eyes reflecting the stars in the night sky. Brightest star? He is like that to me. He's like the most brightest star that lit up my dark sky.

Sirius might be one of the billion stars up there but this Sirius beside me is the only one in a million for me.
