A/N
Hey all! I know y'all are used to weekly updates! Sorry this took an extra while, I've been incredibly busy with school (i hate zoom university w a raging fiery passion btw), work, and church. Hopefully I'll get into a good rhythm soon, and hopefully y'all enjoy this chapter💙Amelia
I was sitting on my bay window, book in hand with a blanket over my legs and a candle lit when I hear Charlie yell up the stairs.
"Amelia, Alice is here!"
That's odd, I don't recall Bella saying Alice was coming over, especially since Bella is at Edward's right now.
I stay put-sure that Charlie would show her the way-curled up as I re-read Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone for the hundredth time. A knock on my door draws away my attention.
"Come in!" I call out, my eyes racing across the last of the page, eager to finish the chapter.
"What are you reading?" Alice chirps from beside my door.
I lift my head, smiling up at her, "Hey Alice. Just the first Harry Potter book." I place my tattered book mark between the pages, setting the book down beside me.
"Come in, come in. You can sit anywhere." I motion around my room towards my bed and desk chair. She takes a seat on my half made bed as I tidy up around me, I had several snacks and a water bottle scattered around my legs, I hadn't been prepared for a visitor.
"Oh you don't have to tidy up. I promise I won't tell." she winks playfully at me, a melodic laugh erupts from her small body.
"So what's brought you all the way over here?" I ask curiously as I sit facing her with my legs crossed like they taught us in elementary school.
"This might seem a bit...strange." she warns. I narrow my eyes slightly in anticipation of what was to come. She mimics my position, crossing her legs, pulling them close to her body. I nod for her to go on.
"Bella mentioned that you've been having some strange dreams?" she starts. And in that very moment, I mentally swore to kill my dearest sister.
"Uh...yeah. What about them?" I rub my neck awkwardly, a habit I had picked up from Charlie over the years. He was always rubbing his neck when he was uncomfortable.
"I was hoping you would be willing to tell me about them." she says gently, her expression hopeful. As uncomfortable as I felt, and as annoyed as I am with my sister, I couldn't bring myself to say no. She seemed too genuinely interested for me to deny her.
"May I ask why?" I wonder, not understanding her intentions. She doesn't seem like the type to mock me, and she seemed too curious anyways. Maybe she's concerned about my mental health, though I probably would be too if I were in her position.
"Well, I have a few...working theories about your dreams, but I need to hear your experiences first. I may be able to help you understand what the dreams are." she explains vaguely. I take a moment to consider my options, deciding to just go along with it. After all, what's the worst that could happen?
"Alright, I guess." I lean back against the window. "What do you want to know?"
"Anything you can tell me." she grins, her eyes were now wide with excitement.
"Alright, well, I had one two nights ago. They've been getting more frequent but I don't know why." I start, pausing to think about how I would explain it. She waits patiently.
"I was standing in this really incredible house with these incredible windows that look into the forest. And then people started coming into the room. We were in a kitchen, and everyone was gathering there." I rub my hands together as I try to be discreet, not wanting to tell her who was involved.
