Amelia

Finally.

Graduation day is here.

The ceremony isn't set to start until 5 in the evening and I only have to be there by 4 so I have the whole day to do whatever I want. Waking up at 6 am with a terrible migraine and stomach ache was not how I wanted to start the day.

"Here, I got you something to eat." Charlie gives me a plate with some buttered toast topped with jelly.

"Thanks dad." I smile gratefully. I had been on the bathroom floor for almost an hour when he woke up and found me puking.

"You think it's a bug?" he leans against the door frame, arms crossed as he looks me over.

"I think it's just the migraine. I took some Advil so hopefully that will kick in soon." I sigh, shutting my eyes as I eat to block my eyes from the hall light.

"Aren't you supposed to hang out with the boys? Do you want me to call them and tell them not to come?" he offers.

Charlie may not be the most observant father in the world, but he's always done what he could to make sure Bella and I were healthy, happy, and safe.

"No, no. I should be fine by then. They won't be here until 9." I reassure him, taking another bit of the toast.

"All right. Is your sister awake?"

"Not that I know of. She said something about wanting to sleep in a little last night." I shrug.

He nods and tells me to let him know if I need anything before going back downstairs to make his own breakfast.

By the time 8:30 rolled around the migraine had simmered down into just a headache and I was able to get on with my day.

I had showered and was in the middle of picking what to wear for the day when I heard the doorbell ring and Charlie answering it.

I settled for some jeans and a Beatles t-shirt, my worn out vans and a beanie to cover the wet mess that was my hair.

"Amelia! You decent?" Embry yells through my door.

"Yeah, you can come in." I laugh as I lace my shoes.

The boys fight to get through the door first, tumbling to the ground in a pile as they shove each other.

"Let's not break my door?" I shake my head with a laugh.

"Sorry." Quil grins, he had landed on top of the others and was wriggling around on them.

"Sure you are." I step around them to my desk, grabbing my bag as they stand up.

"So what's the plan for today?" I ask as we make our way down the stairs.

"It's your day, you pick." Jacob shrugs, Quil and Embry agree with him.

"Uhm, how bout a movie then we go from there?" There isn't much to do in Forks, so choosing something that's both at least mildly entertaining and open isn't always the easiest thing to do.

"Let's do it!" Embry jokingly fist pumps the air, his eyes going wide when he nearly hits Charlie who had just turned the corner.
