Amelia
"No, no, I really do suck at history, I'm barely passing." I insist as I walk with Jasper through the halls.
"History is easy. If you can remember the dates and names that are important, you can ace it." he disagrees with a shake of his head.
Jasper and I had been walking to class together after lunch almost everyday for a little while now. I had assumed the first time would be it. That he was just being polite. But then it happened again. And again, and again. And it hasn't stopped. I'm not complaining, I really do enjoy his company.
I've noticed that as time has passed, I see him in the halls more often throughout the day, we often walk together, he'll drop me off at class and leave for his. Sometimes he's outside my class waiting for me when when the bell rings.
It's silly, but I always find myself getting excited when I know I'm about to see him, no matter what mood I was in before that. It's weird how just seeing him across the hall or waiting outside my class makes me feel lighter.
"OK, I'm going to assume you know next to nothing about makeup, yes?" we stop at my locker.
"That's right." he nods, obviously confused as to where I was going with this.
"Would you say that just learning the name of a makeup item makes you good at doing makeup?" I put everything away that I wouldn't need over the weekend.
"No, I wouldn't." he shakes his head, still unsure of where I was headed with this.
"That's exactly how I feel about history. Just because I memorize names or dates, doesn't mean I'm any good at it." I shut my locker.
"I see. Perhaps you haven't had the right studying technique." he suggests.
"I've tried everything." I shrug as we make our way towards our classes.
"Maybe you ought to try a tutor." I could see a hint of a smile pull at his lips.
"What are you suggesting Mr Hale?" I laugh, stopping beside my classroom.
He shrugs with a sly smirk in response. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"I happen to know one gentleman who claims to be quite good at history" the bell rings, I ignore the sinking feeling in my stomach.
"Well that is quite handy isn't it." his eyes shine happily, I take a mental picture, I enjoy seeing Jasper happy, gives me little butterflies.
"I suppose so. Though I'm not so sure he's as good as he claims." I shrug playfully.
"Well you just might be surprised then." he laughs a little before he walks towards his own class.

"You're in a good mood." Bella notes as we exit the school building. We had found each other in the hall on the way out of our final classes.
"Mhm." I hum in response, my eyes automatically scanning the parking lot for Jasper. Bella must have noticed because she motions towards where Edward was standing.
"He's over there. I'm going to assume Jasper is the reason your in such a pleasant mood...again." she smirks as my face flushes.
"I don't know what your talking about. I'm just...excited, Embry and I are going cliff jumping today." I roll my eyes, though I wasn't actually annoyed with her.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure that's all it is. I'll just pretend that I haven't noticed you two always looking for one another, and sitting next to each other at lunch, or-" I cut her off.
