A/N: this is mostly a filler oop

Amelia

"Alice already knows of course." Jasper mumbles as he drives us to his house.

"I figured as much." I shake my head with a laugh.

"Does Bella know?" he asks, his eyes were constantly searching mine, as if making sure I knew what I was doing.

"Pretty much." I feel a smile pull at my lips as he nods.

"What?" he wonders as he slows to turn into the long driveway that leads to their house.

"Nothing." I shake my head, not wanting to give it away.

"Are you positive that this is what you want?" he glances back at me yet again.

"I'm sure. Are you having doubts? Cause you seem a little nervous." I ask, noting how his brows were ever so slightly pulled together.

"Never." his thumb rubs against my knuckles reassuringly. "I just don't want you to regret anything. You can change your mind anytime. You know that right?" he rushes out. I squeeze his hand in a reassuring manner, hoping to ease him some.

He pulls into the garage, before I can blink he's at my door, opening it for me. He always insists I let him, and it's not like I could beat him to it.

"Thank you." I grab his hand once more as we make our way past all of their very expensive cars.

"My pleasure ma'am." his lips curl in a proud smile.

"Have I ever told you how adorable your accent is?" I couldn't help it, every now and then he slips into a thicker accent and simply melts my heart.

"Have I ever told you I'm gonna puke if I hear anymore of that?" Emmett was suddenly beside me, picking me up in a bear hug.

"All the time." I roll my eyes, uselessly attempting to wiggle away.

He sets me down after I threaten to call for Esme.

"That's not very nice of you." he chuckles, leading the way to the living room where everyone was gathered.

"All present and accounted for." Alice chirps, sitting on the arm of the couch beside Esme.

"Is this about what we think it's about?" Esme asks excitedly.

"It's likely." I nod, her smile is contagious and I can't help the smile that tugs on my lips.

"As you all know," I start, my nerves spiking a little as seven pairs of eyes watch me closely "we've made a decision."

My fingers were still entwined with Jaspers and he gives me a reassuring squeeze.

"You all know what I want. More than anything else, I want to be here, apart of this family and with Jasper. I thought that it would be a good idea to hear from you all about your thoughts on how this would be best to go about." I finish, my sentence trailing off slightly.

"I think this is a mistake." Rosalie speaks immediately.

"Rosalie-" Carlisle starts, but she doesn't listen.

"It's not because I don't like you or something. I can't just sit by and let you throw away a life you haven't even considered." she says, her body and voice tense, her eyes never leaving mine.

"I understand. Thank you." I smile at her, hoping that someday we could be close.

"You're already family." Esme speaks softly, her smile never leaving her face.

"Just don't feel bad if you slip up a few times." Emmett smirks.

"There is nothing I can say that would change your mind." Edward shakes his head with a sigh. "As long as Bella is safe and human."

"I'm counting the days, literally." Alice grins.

We all look to Carlisle, because ultimately, he is the leader of this family. If Carlisle weren't supportive of our decision, I doubt Jasper would choose to stay.

"If this is truly what you desire, then I support whatever you choose. My only request is that you choose the path least likely to end an innocent persons life." his kind smile rests on his face, and a sigh of relief leaves both Jasper and myself.

"Do you have a plan?" Carlisle asks after a moment.

"We have two but aren't sure which one to go about." Jasper begins to explain.

"We could tell people that she's going to college in a remote location, and that it's too expensive to visit home during breaks. Or we could claim we're going to take a year off to travel." he shrugs.

"Do you both have a choice you're leaning towards?" Esme asks softly.

"We do. But we can't agree on which would work better." I nudge Jaspers chest playfully.

"You should totally take a leap year to travel." Emmett answers when no one else speaks up. Edward had to remind him we wouldn't actually be traveling much.

"Charlie isn't very comfortable with that idea. You could say you're studying abroad, or on a ship." Alice adds, her eyes staring into possibilities.

"Studying on a ship, it would easily explain being too far to travel home during breaks the first year." Carlisle agreed.

"It's not unlike me to do something like that either." I agree.

"I think it's a great cover story." Esme smiles up at her husband.

"That just leaves what we'll actually be doing during that time." Jasper notes.

"Well," Alice starts, "it will be the hardest part. Your best bet is to start with a safe distance away from humans unless you plan on killing someone right away."

I nod my head in understanding, my anxiety spikes at the thought of killing someone. Jasper runs a hand up and down my back, I couldn't tell if he was using his ability to calm me or if his presence was just that soothing to me.

"You should feed extensively before you risk getting close to a human. Take it slow, this takes a lot of time and patience." Carlisle adds. Everyone nods in agreement.

"Like Emmett said. There's still a chance that you'll slip up, especially in the first year." Esme adds, though it doesn't seem to upset me when she says it. Maybe it's her loving smile, or the gentleness of her voice.

"Have you chosen a date to throw your future away?" Rosalie speaks up, not making an attempt to hide her distaste for my decision.

"The sooner the better. I'll tell Charlie and Renée that I'm spending the weeks leading up to school traveling with Jasper." I explain, that much we had figured out.

After a few hours of discussing the details of everything, Jasper leads me up to his room, where I sit on the small sofa he had in there.

"Are you sure you're going to be able to stay away from your family, at least until you're no longer a newborn?" he asks after looking out the window for sometime.

"It won't be easy, but it's not like I can't talk to them every few weeks at least."

"And you're sure this is what you want?" he looks at me with worry in his eyes.

"Jazz, I've never been more sure of anything in my life. This is what I want." I make my way over to him, wrapping my arms around his waist, pulling him closer to me.

"Then it's yours." he mumbles into my hair.
