Amelia
"I'm still pissed you told her." I roll my eyes at Bella.
"I was only trying to help." she sighs, putting her blinker on as she slowly turns into the student lot at school.
"I get it, but it wasn't your place to do that in the first place." I groan, she didn't seem to understand how utterly embarrassing it was.
"I know, and I'm sorry. But I knew about Alice, I realized that she could probably help you." she runs a hand through her hair after putting the truck in park.
"Right." I murmur, slipping my bag over my shoulder as I open the door. Alice told me about her visions, how she can see the future based on the path someone is on at that moment. She explained that she can see her own future best, and she can focus on a particular person or look for an overall event and that the more decided a person becomes on a specific course, the clearer it is to her.
"Hey Edward." I grunt as I pass the boy. He was waiting for Bella.
"Amelia." he offers a small smile, despite my obvious mood.
It really did bug me, what Bella did. Regardless of her intentions, she didn't have the right to tell anyone about my stupid dreams, or visions, whatever. I only told her because I thought that she would keep it to herself. Sure I've told her in the past but neither of us had ever thought anything of them before, it was different now that she had asked with the intention of telling another person.
I went through the first half of the day like that, annoyed at my sister and in a generally foul mood. Even Alice's contagious joy couldn't cheer me up.
There is little that I hate more than when I'm not included in something that directly affects me.
I sat alone at our lunch table while I waited for the others to arrive-ruthlessly stabbing my poor salad-when I slowly began to feel better.
"What did the salad ever do to you?" a smooth voice speaks, pulling me out of my thoughts. I look up to see Jasper taking his usual seat with an expectant look, eyeing my fork warily.
"Oh. Sorry." I apologize sheepishly, dropping the fork. I push my uneaten salad away from me.
"No need to apologize." he shakes his head slightly, his honey blonde hair falls slightly out of place, though he doesn't move to adjust it. I don't say anything else, I'd never really spoken to Jasper, though his presence seemed to relax me a little and I was thankful for it.
"Is everything alright?" he asks warily after a few moments, my eyes look up to find a concerned look on his face, almost mirroring the one he wore in my dream not too long ago. I shook the feeling of unrest that I felt at the sight. His face quickly rearranges, he no longer looks concerned but more nonchalantly amused. Perhaps I had only imagined his concern.
"Peachy." I reply sarcastically, only to regret it when I see his brows furrow ever so slightly.
"Oh geez," I rush out "I'm really sorry. That was rude of me. You're just being polite and I'm being an ass." I shut my eyes in both guilt and embarrassment, placing my head in my hands.
"Everyone has bad days." he reassures me, I hear the slightest slip of an accent. And for whatever reason, his words calmed me just as I felt myself getting more worked up.
"Thanks Jasper." I peel my hands away, offering a small smile. He offers a slight nod in return.
"Not very many people speak so...comfortably, around me. I appreciate the unfiltered sarcasm." Just as I am about to respond, I see Alice and Bella walk in side by side, Alice seems to be laughing at something while Bella blushes uncontrollably.
