"That bitch," Cerin said laced with annoyance.

"Excuse me?" I was now very confused. Just a moment ago Cerin had taken my hands into hers and closed her eyes. Not a moment later though her red and orange eyes flew back open in a small raging fire. Without addressing my concern Cerin walked back up to her throne and sat back down with grace.

"It seems you are rather lucky." You have got to be kidding me. Did she really say that?

"Lucky?"

"You were right to assume that magic is behind your inability to shift. In fact, you are cursed." Vermin spit out the word with distaste. I was cursed? How in the name of the Moon Goddess was that lucky? I think that would be the definition of unlucky!

"Ummm-" I began to say, but Cerin waved her hand dismissing my mumbling.

"You're lucky because I know the witch that cursed you. It's such a retro curse that there's only one witch who would even consider using this kind of magic." Cerin groaned as she pinched the bridge of her nose in between her fingernails.

"And this witch is?" Cerin sighed and then began to explain.

"Her name is Iris, she doesn't belong to a coven. In fact, she lives alone in the woods, she's quite known for her potions as elixirs. However, she's also known to hold grudges and take revenge."

"So, what are you saying exactly." I wanted to make sure I was understanding what she was referring to.

"The kind of curse you have is called a blood bound curse. Meaning that it wasn't you who was originally cursed. My guess is that your parents did something and Iris's revenge was to curse their unborn child. Very old-fashion if you asked me. Reminds me of my younger days."

"My mom was cursed?! Was she unable to shift as well?" Cerin rolled her eyes at my question.

"No, the curse was specifically made to target just you. I doubt your parents even knew they were cursed they most likely thought Iris was just bluffing. Honestly, I don't blame them. Who would take her seriously is beyond me."

"So, what do I do now?" Cerin shook her head once more as if to wake herself up.

"Oh, that's quite simple," Cerin began to explain. "I can give you the location to where Iris is living, as a Coven of witches it's our duty to monitor other witches in the area. Yet, convincing Iris to undo the curse will be up to you." I was stunned, I did not expect the Raven Bone Coven to be this helpful with my situation.

"Alright, thank you very much. We'll leave now-" I was suddenly interrupted by Cerin.

"Nonsense, you came here and offer my Coven an alliance the least we can do is give you somewhere safe to stay for the night. I assume you won't be returning to your pack quite yet?"

"Correct," I laughed nervously as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Even if you were to leave now I doubt you would find Iris's cabin in the dark," Cerin commented and once again stood up from her throne and made her way down to us.

"True-"

"Than it's settled, Rin, please show our guests to their room. They may leave in the morning."

After the conversation ended with Cerin we were escorted by the same woman that took us to her. Her name ended up being Rin. She led us to another door that opened up into a very luxurious room. Soft white carpet dawned the floor where two queen size beds with pink and purple pillows stood. The rest of the room contains a makeup desk as well as cushions on chairs as well as a couch. The bathroom was beautifully tiled and had a clawfoot bathtub with fresh towels and soap.
