The next morning I woke up around 6 am. I looked up at Alaric and he was still sleeping. Although I couldn't shift into my wolf I still had some hidden abilities. Compared to other wolves though I don't think mine nearly compared to theirs. I could still hear better and smell better than the average person, but I had to really focus. That was something I would need to talk to Ash about. Comparing shifting notes, what was she able to do that I couldn't. I would need to know these things... I looked back up at Alaric, it was nice to see him so peaceful when just last night I thought he would blow the whole packhouse down like the big bad wolf.

Unfortunately for me I had to go to the bathroom and was tightly bound to Alaric by his arms holding me close to him. I really didn't want to wake him and I really didn't want to make him panic that I wanted to get out of bed for some reason. Strategically I began to roll out of his embrace and moved his arms off of me. When I was finally free it was fifteen minutes past. I took a deep breath as I sat up from the bed and began to stand up only to be pulled back down onto the bed and a yelp of surprise leaving my mouth.

"AH!" I fell back down, landing back into Alaric's arms.

"And where do you think you're going?" He said in a deep morning voice.

"I thought you were sleeping," I whispered back to him and I again began to try to maneuver out of his grip.

"I was, but I was rudely awoken when I felt my mate trying to leave me." I blushed at his words.

"I was just going to the bathroom," I told him, he raised an eyebrow at me and then nodded as he released me from his grasp.

"Fine then, I guess I let you go, only if you come back."

"Alaric it's literally 12 steps away, where else would I go?"

"Just go before I change my mind." I laughed a little as I got up and made my way to the bathroom. I closed the door and sighed with relief. I also mentally hit myself on the head. How stupid was I that I didn't even hear, no more like I couldn't hear the changes in his breathing that he was awake! I bet a normal wolf would have been able to notice that. I shook my head and looked into the large mirror. My long blonde hair was now looking more like a rats nest and my skin felt and looked gross to me. When was the last time I even took a shower?

After going to the bathroom I washed my face and began to head to the door, but I stopped myself. While I'm here why don't I just take a shower? I turned on my heels and walked over to the large shower in the far corner of the bathroom. I stripped off my sweats and climbed in, letting the cold water refresh me, and as it turned warmer I let it relax me. I looked around the shower and noticed there was only really shampoo and soap. I quickly used them both and was able to get out of the shower within 15 minutes. I grabbed one of the black towels that were folded on the shelves and wrapped it around me. I looked down at the bathroom floor and realized I didn't want to put on my dirty clothes again... I really didn't think this through.

I could feel my heart begin to beat faster as I knew what I would have to do. How stupid was I really! I picked up my clothes and slowly and unsurely I opened the bathroom door to the bedroom. I was met straight away by Alaric standing directly in front of the door. He surprised me so much that I took a step back.

"A-Alric... what are?" I mumbled out.

"Just waiting to get into the bathroom to take my own shower." His eyes began to roam up and down me, making me feel self-conscious. I looked up to his eyes that were now pitch black.

"S-sorry I took so long... um, but I forgot I don't have any clothes." Alaric smiled and reached out a hand and pushed my wet hair back behind my ear causing sparks to dance across my skin as he did. His eyes never left my lips as his hand draped down my shoulder.
