He left. After he kissed me he just left. I stayed where I was for a moment trying to understand what he meant. He was starting with me? Taking everything from Alaric? Destroyed his pack? I sat up slowly and looked at the door. I didn't even need to check it I knew it was locked. I wasn't just going to sit here and wait for him to come back to do Goddess knows what next.

Still, in my nightgown, I started to dig through every drawer, nook, and cranny trying to find anything that could help me or even protect me. All I found where a few books in the nightstand, brushes, comb, and toiletries in the bathroom, and expensive-looking clothes in the wardrobe. My fingers danced across the pricey fabric thinking back to when I unpacked my own clothes into Alaric's closet.

I missed him if there was ever a moment or a time for him to be the stubborn headed mate hat he was it was now. He needed to find me or I needed to find him, because whatever Region was planning it only started with me and ended with Alaric.

Not finding anything of use the least I could do was move one of the chairs in the room under to the door handle, preventing anyone or at least slowing them down from entering the room. I sat next to the wardrobe, not feeling exactly safe while sitting on the bed now.

Region wanted revenge on Alaric for taking everything from him, fact. He plans to take me away from Alaric, which I can only assume means making me his mate, I buried my head into my knees that I had pulled up to my chest in an effort of comfort. Whatever that entailed I wasn't sure nor did I want to find out. Region also had a mysterious pack that it seems like no one knew about, if they did he would have been disbanded recently. So not only did he have a pack he had an army that he's been cultivating for six years it looks like.

This was bad, because well it's obviously bad, but also because it seemed like there wouldn't be much I could do. I didn't have a wolf, not to mention I don't even know of Alaric grabbed the bag of bones in time to get them to Iris.

for now, it seemed like Region is too distracted with actually having me in his grasp that he hasn't noticed the signs right in front of him. My cuts and bruises not healed yet, my strength not returning to me and my Alpha voice not even being present. Any normal Alpha who yelled what I did at him would have had some kind of effect, but I didn't.

I groaned in the realization that now I would have to try 1000% harder to keep my "no wolf" situation a secret from Region. This was one of the horrible situations that I was worried about in the first place. Someone finding out my secret and using it to hurt Alaric and the pack.

A loud thud sounded at the door as it was being opened, only for the person on the other side to realize there was a chair blocking the way.

"Excuse me? Luna? Could you let me in? The Alpha has ordered you to eat now." My stomach swirled in revolt. He ordered me? Luna? Did she really think I was Region's mate or something?

"I'm not hungry," I called out to her, hoping she would just go away.

"That's not acceptable, the Alpha has ordered it." She called back in a sweet voice. Even if I was starving, which I definitely was, I was not going to touch that food unless someone else took a bite of it first.

"Just leave it by the door and I'll grab it later."

"No, I can't do that. The Alpha has ordered you to eat now." The way she said that made it sound like a threat. I didn't want Region to come back though. I got up and walked over to the door.

"You can give me the food and I'll eat it, come back in 30 minutes to collect the plates." I needed to make sure she knew her place, and where I drew the lines.

"Very well Luna." I sighed in relief as I hear the clatter of plates at the door and a click for the door unlocking. Cautiously I opened the door to see Wendy now holding out a tray of food for me. For a split second, I actually thought about taking it and just flushing it down the toilet, but that wouldn't accomplish anything. For all, I knew I was on the clock to help Alaric and I needed to either get out of here or get more information on this creepy pack.
