Ashlyn's POV
It had been over 12 days and nothing. There wasn't even a trace of Clover anywhere. Almost as if she never existed at all.
Ever since Alaric, Sander, and I made it back to the pack with Iris in our gasp things began to look up. However, Iris was put in intensive care for her injuries. She had woken up four days ago but refused to say a single word to anyone. Even though intense interrogations. Conduct by Alaric and Sander. She didn't move from her position. That we needed to have Clover in front of her for her to break the curse. Although she didn't say those exact words, from her lack of communication the message was received. Or at least that's what Sander had told me.
Slowly, but surely, word got out that the Obsidian Night pack was attacked. False rumors began to spread also that Clover was taken by rogues. Which wasn't exactly false, but we didn't bother to correct the rumors either. It would only cause more panic and confusion if people discovered that the real reason behind all of the chaos lately was a creepy little witch that could hold a grudge for more than 17 years, the Bright Moon pack's Alpha and Luna who resorted to black magic from said witch to have a child and the new Luna of the Obsidian Night pack to be a 17-year-old girl who kept a secret from her mate that almost ended up killing her.
Nope, it was better than no one knew the real reason Clover was missing. That also included her parents. Who had been requesting permission to come to the Obsidian Night pack ever since word got out? However, Alaric declined there requests every time. All it took was one phone call from Clover's dad yelling at Alaric to cause him to shift right then and there in his office. After that, he never answered another phone call from the Bright Moon pack.
The Raven Bone coven reaches out as well. Alaric wasn't focused enough to be able to finalize the alliance, but that was the great news. They had accepted. Shocking they didn't back out after all the rumors that were flying around. That the Obsidian Night pack was loading their touch ever since the Luna came into the picture.
Cerin laughed at that and said, "if the Obsidian Night pack were to truly lose their touch than it would be because their Luna isn't there." It made me happy to know that people like Serin still remember Clover, not just because she was the werewolf with no wolf, but because of her strength and perseverance. I saw it written all over her face. That Clover had left a lasting impression on the Raven Bone Coven witches.
Unfortunately, they weren't able to locate Clover with any kind of spells. They said that there was either something blocking them from finding her or the curse that Clover had was in the way. It was made from black magic and might be counteracting the location spells they were using. Either way, they couldn't find her and we were back to square one.
Even the pack was worried about the progress of finding their Luna. Even though she hadn't been officially accepted into the pack they still worried and cared for her. Not only because she was their Luna, but because she was important to their Alpha.
That was another thing that happened when Alaric, Sander, and I returned. Immediately I was accepted into the pack. A small meeting in Alaric office where I said an oath and cut my hand with a knife and then shook hands with Alaric. It was all very informal. But never the less I was accepted and Sander couldn't have been more ecstatic because we could mind link now. Boy did he use that to his advantage. There wasn't a moment in the day where he wasn't asking where I was or how I was doing.
True to his word though I was grounded. Not that I was planning on going anywhere anyway. I spent most of my time in the library trying to find something that would help us find Clover. Sander spent most of his time organizing search parties with the warriors meanwhile Brett and Alaric staid up till the crack of dawn trying to figure out who this Region guy was and how he had gained such control over these Rogues.
