Ash began to pull me away from the chaotic scene with Alaric's furious voice calling out from behind us.
"Let me go! You can't have her!" I turned back to Ash as she pulled me further down the hallway.
"How long has this been going on?!" I asked urgently.
"Off and on, but it's never been this bad before."
"Ash where are you taking me?!"
"To the only person that can fix this shit show!"
Before I knew it was were outside and running towards the training grounds, flashbacks from when Ash and I snuck inside, just the steal some weapons seemed so meaningless now and distant.
"What the hell? Why are we going there?"
"That's where they're keeping Iris."
While crossing through the pack I saw that there was now minimal damage done to the pack. Houses were already being fixed, and it seemed as if the members were going back to their normal lives, as it once was.
Although the Obsidian Night pack was attacked and there was a fierce battle it seemed like the warriors were strong enough to hold off all of the rogues or at the most kill them. The ones that did manage to slip through and cause a racket didn't do any hard except terrorizing the members.
"It's not that bad, they injured a few omegas here and there, but they'll recover with treatment."
"How do you?"
"Sander and I have been assuming the role of substitute Alpha and Luna while you two were "out of commission." I found, it was my responsibility to be the Luna and I somehow got benched again.
"Don't be upset you were still recovering and there was no way in hell Alaric was going to let you outside of the packhouse, let alone to help clean up the mess."

As we got closer to the training grounds warriors began to stop and stair some of their eyes even turned a shade or two darker from seeing an unmated and unmarked she-wolf. If they weren't done with their training they wouldn't be able to look for their mate for a while.
Following the same path we took before, no one trying to stop the top warriors mate let alone the Alpha's. We ran inside and over to the steps that would take us to the basement.
"Okay, you lead the way from now on. I've never been this far." I nodded and took the lead, descending the stairs quickly and effortlessly. Ash following, somewhat out of breath behind me.
"Are you okay? You seem... winded?"
"I'm fine, just haven't exactly been allowed to go running around the pack ever since Sander found me." I flinched at the mention of that day and I hated it. Was I just going to flinch now at all of my memories before I was kidnapped and tortured? As if normal was wrong as if remembering the good times felt like spiders crawling over my skin. Or maybe it was the thought that my past self had no idea what had awaited her. So nieve.
I dragged Ash through the rows of weapons, slowing down when passing through the witches section, where I had previously grabbed weapons before. Only to come to a screeching halt when we both came face to face with a drain and dying Iris.
"Well, well, well look who finally made it back home," she croaked out with a dry voice. It looked as if Alaric hadn't fed her at all. Her dull eyes sunk into her skull and her check bones jutted out from the sides. Which they had once brung structure and beauty now brought hollow and hunger to her face.
"Don't worry puppy it takes a lot more than a lack of nutrients to kill a witch." She grinned revealing her still perfect teeth.
"Is it safe?" I looked to Ash, to which she nodded earnestly.
