WARNING! This chapter deals with violence and abuse!

Thankfully I was left alone for a while after Region threatened me. I was still left in nothing but an old fashioned nightgown. There was a large bathroom, with expensive taste dripping in every aspect of it, but I wasn't comfortable with being in such a vulnerable state knowing that Region had the keys to this room, his room.

I still couldn't figure him out. He wanted revenge on Alaric, that much was obvious, so why was I even here? He could be torturing me in a basement with rats or killed me right when he found me. Instead, he puts me up in a room, in his packhouse, brings me food on a silver platter, but worst of all he forces himself on me.

"Ugh, what is he planning?" I knew he kept saying that"I was his " did he think we were mates? Did he want me to be his mate? This was insane, no it was impossible. I already accepted Alaric as my mate there was no way Region could force me to be his.

He could force himself on me.

That thought alone terrified me, right now Region had all of this power in the packhouse. Even more, than he knew with me not having a wolf.

For now, I'll be silent and see where things take me. After trying to escape and it ending horribly I didn't want to make that mistake again. Making a move too prematurely would not be wise right now. I needed more information on how this place is run. What their border patrols are, how many members are here, how many are warriors, and were their women and children. There was a lot I would need to find out about this pack before I made any move to try and escape or make contact with Alaric. I still remembered the phone number that Ash had when we called them a night.

Knock, knock

I quickly stood up on guard. If Region was back he wasn't going to take a step near me. The sound of clicking made me aware of the door unlocking.

"Hello," I called out. It seemed if it was Region than he would have barged in and demanded something of me.

"Hello, Luna?" Wendy called inside the room. My muscles relaxed, relieved that it was her and not him. I made a disgusted face at her calling me Luna. I was not the Luna of this pack, the respect behind that title was lost on me right now.

"Wendy..." I knew she was being fooled by whatever Region had told her so I couldn't hold her against it.

"Yes, Luna?"

"I-I just wanted to say sorry for earlier." I pushed her down to try and escape but seeing how demanding Region was with her a part of me was afraid he would have punished her.

"Oh, no need to apologize Luna. I was warned you might try to escape," I stood there nervously as I didn't know what to say to that.

"Did you need something, Wendy?"

"Yes, I have come to prepare you for dinner with the Alpha." She said with a smile. I frowned at the fact that I was right that Region demanded something of me. I sighed though knowing that if I refused there would be other consequences... and I felt as if sleeping in the same bed with him was one of his more generous punishments. Plus if I had dinner with him maybe I could get him talking about his plans.

"Very well," I allowed Wendy to approach me.

I was still aching and injured. I hoped that Wendy wouldn't report anything she saw to Region. Wendy helped bandage my injuries with gauze and medicine and she said nothing about my healing process.

Wendy had also brought a dress in with her. It was a deep purple that fell all the way down to my ankles. It would have been modest had it not been for the unnerving slit in the side of the dress that ran all the way up on to my mid-thigh on my left leg.
