Can't Hold You Back

You woke up, immediately getting out of bed and running to the bathroom.

You had been feeling sick for a while, and yesterday you went to the doctor's.

your whole world had came crashing down when he told you you were pregnant.

"Y/n dear is everything alright?"

"Y-Yes mom!" you yelled, washing your mouth. you opened the door and walked out of the bathroom right past her.

"why were you running, did you throw up?" your mother asked walking after you.

"no, I was just really thirsty," you said, smiling to her. "I'm gonna get dressed."

you locked the door behind you and sighed, you didn't know how to tell anyone, your life was ruined. Worst of all was telling Gilbert, your boyfriend. You knew this baby would either ruin his dreams to go to college or your relationship.

you opened your closet door and let your fingers glide along the fabric of all your favorite dresses, you had quite alot of them. you picked out a dark blue one and carefully slipped it one.

Tomorrow was dancing practice and you really weren't looking forward to it, you felt nauseous and you really didn't want to throw up on anyone's shoes.

You sighed once again and quickly went downstairs for breakfast.

"Y/n? hey y/n what's wrong?"

"hmm?" you looked up to see the anne diana and ruby standing around your table.

"it's lunch time. is everything alright? you seem out of it."

"actually," you sighed "I need to tell you guys something."

"you can tell us anything." Diana said, laying her hand on you knee as she kneeled down beside you.

"maybe we can go somewhere more private? would you like that y/n?" Ruby asked.

you nodded, grabbing your things and walking outside to the stream, your heart was beating fast. You were going to tell the girls, you needed to get it off your chest and maybe they could help you talk to Gilbert.

"so what's going on?" Anne asked.

"Well yesterday..... I went to the doctor's and-"

"you're not dying are you?" Ruby exclaimed

"Ruby!" Diana said.

"No Ruby I'm not dying.... I'm pregnant." you said softly.

"you're pregnant?" Anne asked. "how does that work?"

"you can't be! you and Gilbert aren't married yet." Diana looked confused.

"I can assure you it is possible to get pregnant without being married Diana." you said. "Gilbert doesn't know yet, and I'd like to keep it that way. I'll tell him when I'm ready."

"of course y/n, but how?"

"I don't think it's my place to tell you that." you said. "you should ask you parents."

"Fine I will." Ruby said.

the next day you were just as nauseous as the day before, you even thought about telling your mother you were to sick to go to school, but you didn't want her to take you to the doctor's. You were scared she'd throw you out.

you got dressed and tried to look as decent as possible, but you couldn't get rid of the dark circles under your eyes.

you quickly grabben something to eat and left, without saying anything.
