Chapter 2

Third Person POV

Seunggyo the king paced back and forth in the room. The others 12 men along with other ministers were in the room as well.

"Should I go there? Just to check the situation?" Seunggyo asked for their opinion.

"Sorry your highness. I don't mean to be rude but your highness, I don't think that's a good idea. That could be a trap set up by the subjects in Hwayangyeonhwa Kingdom."

"Your highness, I agree with what Minghao-nim said." One of the ministers said. "It could be a trap your highness. Why would they suddenly invite you for a dinner? The letter didn't state what their intention is."

Jihoon turned to look at the king, "Your highness, if we let you go there, it means that we're giving away our King to our enemy. I hope you understand us, Your Highness."

Seunggyo sat back on his throne. "What should I do now? Should I send someone else instead?" he asked for their opinion. "How about S.Coups hyung, your highness? He's a pureblood like you. Others would be scared to hurt him." Boo Seungkwan suggested a name but only received a rejection from the king.

"We can't risk him to go there, Seungkwan. Haneul is about to give birth and I want him to be there with her." Seunggyo told him.

"Sorry your highness, I didn't think of it."

Just then someone raised a hand, "What if I volunteered, Your Highness?"

Heads turned towards the owner of the voice.

"Yah, Kim Mingyu..." Joshua looked at him in surprise.

Mingyu cleared his throat. "Other than you and S.Coups hyung, Your Highness, I'm the only one in this room that has some relation with your family line. And not to forget that the Kims are the second most powerful vampire." Mingyu explained.

"I know Kim Mingyu..." Seunggyo sighed. "But how should I tell Haneul? That I'm sending her brother for some dangerous task..." "Don't worry about that, Your Highness. She's my sister. I'll deal with her later." Mingyu gave him a small smile. "Okay then. Prepare yourself. Bring weapons and enough food for your travel. And please, Kim Mingyu, bring someone else with you." Seunggyo's eyes pleaded.

Mingyu turned to look at the others. "Anyone?" "I'm coming! Just in case if he got attack, at least I can make an army of shadows." Minghao volunteered. "And I'm coming too." Woozi raised his raised hands.

Mingyu then turned back to the king, "My two brothers should be enough, your highness. The others should stay here and help you protect the kingdom." He told the king and Seunggyo had to agree. "Please be safe, Mingyu." He then turned to the Ministers. "Help Mingyu prepared with everything."

The ministers got up and bowed at the King. "We will, your highness."

Haneul, S.Coups and their daughter just finish their dinner when a knock rapped on their front door. Haneul got up but was quickly stopped by her husband, "Stay there, love. I'll get it."

And so Haneul wait there in the kitchen with her daughters.

After a moment, S.Coups walked into the kitchen with someone behind him.

Haneul's face brightened. "Mingyu oppa!" "Hi princess." Mingyu went to her and gave her a hug. "Mingyu samchon!!!" Gaeul got up from her chair, ran around the table and before throwing herself at her uncle.

"How are you my pretty Gaeul?" Mingyu giggled as he picked up the little girl. "Samchon, I miss you."

"Sorry but I'm busy helping out the king, Gaeul."
