Third Person POV
The balls finally started. While the royals and elites were having balls inside the palace, the subjects were having their own ball in the town after being informed that Hwayangyeonhwa and Odemore finally becomes an ally. They have nothing to be worried about. They won't have to worry that Hwayangyeonhwa will attack them. The people were excited when they learnt about the new 'family'.
The seven princes from Hwayangyeonhwa were happily talking and getting knows the people from Odemore; the ministers, the merchants and many other important people that help in building the kingdom together with the royalties.
Hoseok was feeling stuffy because of the wine he's been drinking. He decided to step out for a moment to take in some fresh air. With his, he took along a glass of plain water.
He looked at the moon. "The moon sure looks pretty tonight." He said to himself before he took a sip of the water. He let out a rough groaned, "Man, I drank too much tonight. I'm wasted."
"You should drink coffee. Or maybe just go to sleep after this." A voice of a woman interrupted his alone time.
He quickly turned to the side and came face to face with Haneul.
"Your Highness." Haneul bowed in front of him.
Hoseok stared at him for a moment before he said something that just naturally left his lips, "You're pretty."
Haneul chuckled, "Well thanks?" Haneul then looked up at the night sky. "So I learnt that your kingdom and mine now are some sort of 'friend'. Just want to know, do you mean it? Will you stop attacking us?" she suddenly asked.
Hoseok kept looking at her in silence. He was mesmerized with her beauty.
"Your Highness?" Haneul turned to look at him again. "Wh-What? Did you say something?" Hoseok stuttered. Haneul just chuckled, "You're totally wasted tonight. Do you need coffee?" she offered. "Will you prepare it for me?" Hoseok asked her.
His question took her by surprise. She looked at him with slight widened eyes. "I-I d-don't think that's appropriate." "Wh-What? Why? We can get to know each other. I want to get to know you more." Hoseok said. "So why can't you-"
"Because-"
"Haneul?" A voice of a man called. Haneul turned around and her face lightened up, "Oppa."
S.Coups walked towards them. He looked between Hoseok and his wife. "So you already met my wife."
Hoseok nodded with an awkward smile on his face, "Yo-Your wife....right..." "Oppa, I didn't even introduce myself to him." Haneul chuckled before she turned back to look at Hoseok. "My name is Haneul. You probably met my brother, Kim Mingyu and my dearest husband, Choi Seungcheol. Nice to meet you, Your Highness." Haneul bowed to him and Hoseok just nodded, "H-haneul....yeah, nice to meet you too."
"Appa!!" Bomi suddenly ran out. "Hey..." S.Coups quickly picked her up before she could run somewhere even further. Bomi then noticed Hoseok.
"Samchonnnn!!" Bomi motioned her hands to Hoseok, wanting to jump into his warm hands.
"No, princess. You shouldn't be calling him that. He's a prince." Haneul corrected her daughter. "No! Samchon!" Bomi struggled to get out of her father's grip. S.Coups had to place her back onto the ground and she quickly sprinted towards Hoseok.
The prince casually picked her up in his arms and the little started to snuggle closer to his neck. "Bomi likes samchon's scent."
"I'm sorry Your Highness." Haneul stepped up to him, "I'll make sure to tell her to respect you more." she tried to take her away from him but he quickly shook his head, "It's okay. Let me hold her for a while. Why don't you two get back to the ball? You should spend some time together." Hoseok suggested.
"But Bomi-"
Hoseok cut her, "I'll take care of this little princess. Believe me, I'm not going to hurt her or anything."
"Bomi wants to stay with samchon." Bomi said. Hoseok smiled at her, "You do? Then we should go and let your mom and dad have their date right?" he lightly kissed her nose, earning a soft giggle from the little one. He carried Bomi with his left hand while his other hand grabbed onto the drinking glass that he brought along with him earlier.
"Have a nice date." Hoseok nodded at them before he proceed to walk back inside.
"Is it only me or that guy just trying to flirt with you?" S.Coups asked her with a hint of jealousy in his voice. Haneul chuckled before he pecked his lips, "Even if he is, I won't be trapped. I love you alone." "Keep your words, love." S.Coups wrapped his hands around her waist and pulled her closely.
He started into her eyes, "Now when was the last time we get to have a romantic moment like this?" Haneul pretended to count with her fingers, "Hmmm, that was before Gaeul was born?"
S.Coups slightly rolled his eyes, "You're being dramatic again. If so, what about the night we're making Bomi? And our little prince Jaewoo. Aren't those moment considered romantic?"
"Not really." Haneul teased her husband. "Okay, okay. Whatever you say, love. So what do you want to do now?" S.Coups asked her. "How about we just sit out here, few glasses of wine and kisses? Or we can talk about anything." Haneul played with the collar of his shirt. "I love that idea, baby. Let me grab some wine for us." S.Coups offered. Haneul chuckled. She pecked his lips again, "I'll be waiting here."
After S.Coups went back inside, she took another glance at the night sky. "Why do I feel uneasy? This feeling...." She sighed. "It's been there even before Jaewoo is born." She then turned back to look into the ballroom.
Everyone was happy, catching up and getting knows of each other. She could see the princes from Hwayangyeonhwa. And she could see Gaeul was with them, smiling widely. Jeonghan and the others were there as well.
"Whatever happens in future, I hope that we won't lose the smile, ever."
