Haneul POV
I walked across the hall in the palace. It's been a while since I went here. Some maid noticed my presence. They bowed to me with a wide smile.
"Congratulations for having another baby." They said.
"Thank you." I smiled back at them. "Uhm, do you know where the King is?" I asked them.
"He's in his reading room." One of the maids answered.
I nodded, "He doesn't have any meetings or anything today right?" "As far as we know no." the other maid answered. "Okay, thanks. See you around."
"See you around, Miss Haneul." They smiled before they walked away.
Reaching the King's reading room, I saw another girl walking towards the same direction. She had a drink in her hand.
"Excuse me. Who are you?" I asked her. She turned to look at me. "You scared me." She said.
"I asked you a question."
Call me rude but I have a bad feeling with this girl. I had never seen her around. And trust, I don't like whatever aura she's having.
She bowed to me. "My name is Eun Hui and I'm the new servant here." "New servant?" I raised an eyebrow. I looked at the drink in her hand. "What's that?" I nodded towards the drink.
"Ah this? The King is stressed this whole week. It's a herbal tea to help relieve his stress." This Eun Hui girl answered me.
"Hmm..." I looked at her for a moment before I walked ahead of her. After knocking on the door, I called for the King, "Your Highness, it's me, Haneul."
"Come in." he called from inside.
"You're Miss Haneul?" Eun Hui asked me. I slightly turned sideways, "Yes. Yes I am." With that I walked into Seunggyo's reading room.
"Your Highness." I called and walked further into the room.
"Haneul!" he got up and went to hug me, tightly. "I miss you. How are you doing? Are you okay now? How's the girl? How's your little prince?" he shot me with questions.
I chuckled. "Your Highness, you shouldn't act this way. They will think I'm taking advantage of you."
He scoffed. "Please, everyone in the palace knows how much I care for my sister in-law. So how's everything?" "I'm good, thanks. The stitches already healed. The girls are doing fine. They're at the palace practice ground with Seungkwan oppa at the moment. I couldn't take Jaewoo with me so he's with his father at home." I told him.
He nodded.
"Uhm, Your Highness?" another voice disturbed us.
Me and Seunggyo turned around.
"Oh Eun Hui!" Seunggyo broke the hug and walked to the other girl. "I'm here with your tea." The girl said. "Yes, yes. Thanks. Uhm Haneul have you met Eun Hui? She's new here." Seunggyo turned to look at me.
I slightly bowed to him, "I have, Your Highness."
"She's kind isn't she? She always prepares this tea for me. Oh and do you know that she excels in traditional herbs even since she's still in Hwayangyeonghwa?" Seunggyo was asking me excitedly.
I raised an eyebrow, "Hwayangyeonhwa, Your Highness?" Seunggyo nodded eagerly, "Don't worry. She doesn't have ill intentions."
That Eun Hui girl bowed, "I should take my leave now, Your Highness. I will bring more tea in the evening." "Yes please. Thank you." Seunggyo smiled before the girl walked out from the room.
"You trust her, Your Highness?"
"Well, I do. So far, it's been great to have her here. She helps a lot of the servants here." Seunggyo walked back to his seat and slowly took a sip of the tea. "Ah! This is refreshing!"
I crossed my hands on top of my chest, "Your Highness, if I'm in your shoes, I wouldn't be drinking that. Who knows what she could put in there when people are not watching."
Seunggyo chuckled, "You're being extra, Haneul. Don't worry. She only put herbs in here." "Okay, Your Highness." I just agree with him since he eagerly defends her.
But not me.
Eun Hui, whoever you are, I'm going to be extra, extra careful around you.
After spending almost an hour chatting with Seunggyo, I decided it's best to leave him since he has a lot of other works to be completed.
While I was walking towards the practice ground to find my daughters, I noticed the girl from Hwayangyeonhwa, Eun Hui. She was talking to the royal physician.
Now I might need to check with the royal physician as well. I don't want people from inside the palace to harm Seunggyo. He may be the King but he is also my brother in-law, my family. I won't let just anyone harm my family.
I finally reached the practice ground but my daughters were nowhere to be found. "Bomi? Gaeul? Seungkwan oppa?" I looked around. "Where are you guys?"
Just then, something flew towards me at a high speed. I quickly waved my hand, creating a wind barrier around me. "Who's there??" I turned towards the direction the unidentified object came from. I created some wind balls, ready to attack.
"Can't you just let us attack you?" Gaeul stumbled out from the bushes. I frowned, "Gaeul? What are you doing there?" soon Bomi followed after. Both of them were holding onto slingshots. "Did you just shoot omma?" I asked them.
"W-Well, Seungkwan samchon said that we improved on our speed. So he suggested that I try it on you." Gaeul answered.
"Boo Seungkwan!!!!"
