Third person POV
The next day, S.Coups went to the palace with Mingyu and Joshua. Jeonghan and Jun decided to go to Haneul's place, keeping her accompanied while S.Coups were out.
"Good day, Sir." A lady came to greet them.
Mingyu smiled at her, "Eun Hui. How are you doing?" he asked her. She nodded, "The King provides me everything. And the food here was good!" she smiled brightly. "We have the best chef here." Mingyu added.
"Uhm, don't want to be rude but who's this?" Joshua asked.
"Hyung, meet Eun Hui. She's from Hwayangyeonhwa."
"What??" S.Coups and Joshua looked at him in surprise.
"Hi. Nice to meet you Sir." Eun Hui bowed at them with respect. "I'm Eun Hui and I'm from Hwayangyeonhwa. Don't worry. I'm not here with ill intention. They kicked me out, after all."
S.Coups turned to look at Mingyu, "What's the meaning of this, Kim Mingyu?" "I'll tell you about this later." Mingyu then looked back at Eun Hui. "The King?"
"His Highness is in his reading room. I was summoned minutes ago. He should still be there." Eun Hui told them.
Mingyu nodded, "Okay, thanks. And...I'll see you around?" Eun Hui smiled softly, "Sure Sir."
The three of them walked towards the direction of Seungyo's reading room. Eun Hui watched them as they walked away before she went her way.
S.Coups knocked of the door. "Seungie, it's me." "Come in, hyung." They received reply from inside.
The three of them walked in and saw Seungyo was in his chair, reading some scrolls, books and any kind of paper you can find.
"Are you okay?" S.Coups asked him. He is concerned for his little brother. He knew it's hard to run a kingdom.
Seungyo looked up from the paper, "Yeah... How's Haneul? Jaewoo? And the girls?" "They're fine, Seungie. They're with Jeonghan and Jun." S.Coups came closer to him.
"You need a break, Your highness. You look...awful." Joshua said before he casually took a seat on the chair that was in the room.
Seungyo let out a sigh before he got up and walked to the sitting area, dropping himself on the couch.
Mingyu and S.Coups exchanged looks.
"It's about Hwayangyeonhwa Kingdom..." Seunggyo sighed again.
S.coups walked up close to him before he took a seat next to his brother.
"Hyung... if you're in my shoes what would you do?"
S.Coups frowned. "Sorry what?" S.Coups didn't know the output they brought from Hwayangyeonhwa. He didn't know they're asking to be an ally.
"Your Highness, we haven't said anything to the others." Mingyu announced.
"Oh... sorry." Seunggyo then turned to look at his brother. "Hwayangyeonhwa... they want to be our ally."
S.Coups raised an eyebrow at that, "They do?" Seunggyo nodded, "I've been thinking about it since they got home." he then sighed, "And now I'm not sure what's best."
"Your highness, this is not something that you should decide on your own. You can ask for opinion from the ministers." Joshua suggested. "Yes, you can talk to us too, if you want. You don't have to carry the burden on your own." Mingyu added.
Seunggyo looked up at them. "Thanks." "Now that's settled for the time being, you might want to have a walk outside. Get some fresh air. You need to loosen up a bit." S. Coups suggested.
"Nah, it's okay. I can manage. Eun Hui already served me tea. I should be okay." Seunggyo gave them a weak smile. "Eun Hui? That lady from Hwayangyeonhwa?" S.Coups asked and his brother nodded his head.
"I called her over to have a background check, you know, since she's from there." Seunggyo cracked his neck. Mingyu scrunched his face as if he was the one in pain, "That sounds hurt." "Not at all." Seunggyo proceeded to crack his knuckles and any other places possible.
"Anyway...that Eun Hui, she told me she is quite good with traditional medication and herbs. She said she found this ...herbs around the palace and she said it's good for health."
S.Coups frowned, "Herbs huh?" "She's kind isn't she?" Mingyu was smiling like an idiot.
Now it's Joshua's turn to frown, "She's not your mate or anything like that right?" He asked. "No, no. Of course that's a no." Mingyu shook his head in denial. "Do not fall for her, Mingyu. We don't know what she is like. The fact that she's from Hwayangyeonhwa didn't help either." Joshua gave him a strict warning and Mingyu slightly nodded as he mumbled a soft, "I know that."
After spending almost three hours discussing a few matters with Seunggyo, Mingyu, S.Coups and Joshua finally walked out from the room.
"Remember to send them an invitation." Joshua reminded them again. "I will." Mingyu nodded.
"Are you done with your meeting?"
The three of them looked up. Mingyu gave her a smile, "Eun Hui." she bowed, "Good day Sir." "Please I told you to call me Mingyu. Just Mingyu."
Eun Hui nodded, "As you wish, Mingyu ssi." She then turned to S.Coups. "Pureblood? The Choi perhaps?" she asked which caused a frown on his face, "How'd you know?" "Just instinct."
S.Coups slightly nodded his head at her, "Choi Seungcheol and I'm the King's older brother." "Older brother? And why are you not the King?" She answered. "Not your concern." S.Coups slightly narrowed his eyes at her.
"Hyung!" Mingyu looked at S.Coups, surprised with his sudden cold response. "No. It's okay. He's right. It's none of my concern. I should be going. See you around." Eun Hui bowed at them before she walked away.
Mingyu was still looking at S.Coups. "Hyung, you're being rude to her!" "Kim Mingyu, even if she said she's here with no ill intention, I will not let my guard down! She came from Hwayangyeonhwa. Could never be wrong for us to be extra careful." S.Coups coldly told him.
"I don't know what she did to you but from what I see, you're whipped for her. Remember Kim Mingyu! Safety before anything else!" he warned him one last time before he too walked away, leaving Mingyu with Joshua.
