Third Person POV

Mingyu double-checked everything; the horses, foods, weapons and even blankets. "Do we have everything here, Mingyu?" Woozi came over to check everything. The younger boy nodded, "As far as I check, we have everything."

"So....tomorrow huh? How's Haneul?" Woozi asked.

"It's hard. She insisted to talk to Seunggyo." Mingyu let out a small chuckled but soon even his smile disappeared. "Sometimes, I feel bad for her." He sighed. "I know how worried she is each time we were sent to a mission outside the kingdom."

Woozi patted his back. "It's something that she has to get used to, something that we have to get used to."

The younger male nodded. "You're right."

"It's late now. Go home and have a good rest. We're leaving early tomorrow morning." Woozi reminded him and he nodded silently.

But instead of going straight home, Mingyu stopped by Haneul's place.

They had dinner together. He even played with Gaeul and Bomi.

"Will you be okay, Mingyu? I can come along if you want." S.Coups said. "Hyung, no. You need to be here with Haneul. Someone need to take care of my sister." The other male answered.

"But Mingyu oppa...." Haneul looked at him. He frowned at her, "Don't worry too much, Haneul. It's not good for the baby."

"Samchon, catch!" Bomi threw a ball at him and he caught it before returned it back to her. "Besides, I promised you didn't I? I will come back in one piece, Haneul. Don't worry too much." He gave her a soft smile.

S.Coups gently stroked her hair, "Trust your brother, love. I don't think people in Hwayangyeonhwa Kingdom are stupid enough to kill someone as high as your family line. That will only cause a war." "But what if it's a war that they really want?" Haneul turned to look at S.Coups.

Neither of them have the answer.

"See? This is the reason. This is why I'm worrying sick. I have a bad feeling about your journey this time."

"I don't know how to convince you, Haneul but we will return back." Mingyu looked at her.

In the end she only managed to let out a sigh. "I won't ask you to promise me anything because you already made that promise. Just make sure you fulfill it."

Mingyu smiled, "I will, Haneul."

Before leaving the house, Mingyu gave Haneul a big, tight hug. "Listen to S.Coups hyung okay. Don't worry too much. I promise you we will return back." "Okay." Haneul snuggled close into his chest. "Please be safe." "We will."

With a heavy heart, he let his sister go. He then turned to face S.Coups. "S.Coups hyung..." "Sorry I couldn't join you guys this time."

"No problem hyung. I would be at ease knowing that you're looking after Haneul."

S.Coups then pulled the younger male into a hug. "Don't die, Kim Mingyu."

Mingyu patted his back. "We won't hyung. We won't."

Early the next morning, Mingyu went to the palace and met up with Woozi and Minghao. They're both dressed accordingly for their trip/task/mission.

"Let's go." Each one of them took a horse for themselves.

They were silent most of the time. Most probably they're feeling tense due to the fact that they're going to their enemy's kingdom. Others would say it's suicide.

But they rather sacrifice themselves rather than watching their kingdom fall.

Mingyu cleared his throat, "Should we stop by somewhere?" "Good idea." Minghao agreed. "I'll ask them to look around first. Never too wrong to be cautious." Minghao added. Both Woozi and Mingyu only nodded.

Minghao looked at his shadow on the ground, "Go and check the surrounding. Report to me as soon as you see something suspicious." Then shadow figures; people, birds, hounds emerged from his single shadow.

Woozi raised an eyebrow at the sight. "You improved a lot Minghao." The other male smirked, "Well I took my time to improve myself and you still have a few more you haven't seen yet."

"I'm looking forward to that." Woozi smiled sincerely.

"I miss us." Mingyu suddenly said.

Woozi and Minghao suddenly turned to him. Mingyu then turned to look at them, "Don't you?"

"We-Well...I do." Minghao lowered his head. "But you know we can't stay together like before. We're becoming adults. And adults have many other commitments."

"I agree..." Woozi sighed. "But you just couldn't ignore the fact that we're growing apart. Even Haneul mentioned this many times already."

A shadow bird suddenly lingering above them. Minghao looked up, most probably communicating with it.

"Thanks." Minghao said before he called back all his shadow figures. "There's a river ahead of us. We should take a break. Our horses need a break too." He suggested and they agreed since it's been almost 3 hours since they depart from their kingdom, Odemore.

Two days of horse riding and they finally reached the border of Hwayangyeonhwa Kingdom.

"Who's there??" the one watching the border asked in rather a strict and rude manner.

Mingyu got down from the horse and walked towards them but they stopped him. "Stay there! We'll come to you!"

Then one of the men walked up to Mingyu. "Who are you and why are you here?" "We're here on the king's dinner invitation." Mingyu answered calmly.

The man frowned, "People from Odemore?"

"We are. I have the letter from our King for your King. And I can show you the King's emblem if you still doubt us."

"The King couldn't come?"

"I believe that's not your business. We will tell your King ourselves." Mingyu warned them with his eyes slightly grew red.

"Uhm, for your information, he's one of the Kims. You wouldn't want to mess with him." Woozi bluntly added.

The man quickly bowed to him. "I'm sorry. Please follow us! We'll lead you to the palace." "Thank you." Innocently smiled at them, slightly showing his fangs.

And so, the three of them went to the palace with a mixture of feelings that they also didn't know what it was.

Mingyu POV

On our way to the palace, we passed along a small village. I looked around and nothing looked abnormal.

The people there were mostly like our people in Odemore Kingdom. Kids were running around, laughing. Men were drinking and chatting with each other at the tavern. Once, I smiled at an old lady that was selling flowers and she smiled back at me.

Yup, just like our people. Nothing's out of norm.

"We're almost there." One of the guys who's with us spoke.

We looked ahead and there it is, the palace of Hwayangyeonhwa Kingdom. That's where our enemy resides.

"Mingyu, you're okay?"

I tore away my gaze from the palace and turned towards the owner of the voice, Minghao.

"Y-Yeah, I'm good... why?"

"Well, you don't look good." He looked worried but I quickly shook my head, "No really, I'm good." I forced a smile at him. He just nodded and let me be as I wanted too.

But deep inside me, I'm not feeling good, at all.

I feel like what we're doing right now, we going to Hwayangyeonhwa will eventually ignite something, something big and troublesome will occur. Will it be between us? Or will it involve them from Hwayangyeonhwa?
