Mingyu POV
I woke up early that morning. Last night discussion is still fresh in my head. Maybe that's what woke me up. I sighed I walked towards the window. Even if it's still early in the morning, I could see someone far on the field.
Me and the other two just arrived yesterday but I knew that figure. So I grabbed my coat and decided to go outside.
From a distance I watch as he threw the weapons. I see a lot; sword, pocket knife, arrows, axes... and damn, all of them were accurately thrown. No miss at all.
"Aren't you going to greet me or anything?"
I raised my eyebrow at his cockiness. "Good morning, coconut head."
He turned around with a scoff, "So you're out here to annoy me the first thing in the morning?" He crossed his hands on top of his chest.
I ignored his statement and sat on the ground. It was wet because of the dew but I don't care.
"How old are you?" I asked Jungkook. He slightly glared at me before he turned back to his weapons, "Same as you."
"Really?" "Yeah why? Wanna be friends?" His voice telling me that he was smirking.
I scoffed back at him, "Over my dead body." "Gladly." He took an axe and threw it to the target, and booms! Bullseye, like really at the center. All of his weapons are thrown accurately.
"How'd you do that?" I asked, slightly amused. Even a pureblood vampire couldn't do that accurately and consistently each time.
"Accuracy. That's my power..."
I blinked, "Th-that's your power?"
"I know. It's embarrassing isn't it?"
"You're kidding right?? That's an awesome power you have there. Why'd you out here practice then? You know you don't need that."
I heard him sighed. "The hyungs..."
"They we're practicing hard to protect the kingdom, the people. I can't just sit around and do nothing." He said.
"You love them, aren't you?" I asked him. "N-no. I d-don't." He answered me back.
I rolled my eyes, "yeah, right. You know some people don't even know their ears turned red when they lied."
He quickly covered his ears. His action made me chuckled.
"Are they your brother?" He asked me. I knew he meant by Woozi hyung and Minghao.
"We are... but not by parents. We just.... stayed together for a long time. And I have a sister, half sister. She's a half human, half vampire but i guess she's fully a vampire now."
"Is she pretty?" He asked. I nodded, "Very."
"Well hello, brother in-law."
"She's married with 2 daughters and a son, soon to be born." I narrowed my eyes at him. He let out a laugh, "Wow and you still not married yet?" "Back at you, coconut head." I smirked at him.
We both looked at each other before we let out a laugh.
"You guys were on each other's throats last night. And now you two are laughing together?" A voice spoke that made us turned around in surprise.
"Hoseok hyung."
He smiled. "Breakfast's ready. The others are waiting."
"Okay, thanks hyung." Jungkook nodded at the other male named Hoseok.
"Shall we?"
"Don't act like we're friends, pillar guy." Jungkook walked away from me and left me chuckled alone.
This guy is interesting.
At the breakfast table, everyone was there, even Woozi hyung and that grumpy guy. Now that I looked at them, I can't help but to think that they look familiar.
The soon-to-be king, Namjoon cleared his throat, "So have you think about the thing we discussed yesterday?"
What we've discussed?
To form an ally, obviously. I don't trust them, to be honest. Woozi hyung and Minghao had the same thought as well.
"Decide what's best for us. I trust you."
I remembered Seunggyo's words.
I sighed. Why in the world he wants me to decide for the kingdom? I am no king.
"Kim Mingyu ssi?" Namjoon called me.
I looked up at him, "Give us time. Let us go home and discuss this matter with our king. We can't decide on our own since this will involve the whole kingdom of Odemore." He nodded, "I understand. You can take as much as time you need when you go back to Odemore. You will leave tomorrow right?" Namjoon asked and we nodded.
"Well, take a look around Hwayangyeonhwa. Jimin, Taehyung can you show them around? Bring them to the village." Namjoon turned to the other two.
They nodded.
Third person POV
So they went to the village together with the two young princes.
"What's good here?" Mingyu asked. Taehyung nodded at a stall, "See that? Their dumplings are the best."
"Yup, they're the best to the extent we fought because of them." Jimin added.
Minghao frowned, "You fought because of... dumplings?"
Jimin and Taehyung exchanged glances. "Sort of..." Taehyung then cleared his throat, "Let's get some. We can eat while looking around." He suggested and the other just agreed. "Or we can eat them after we get back to the palace." Jimin added. Taehyung and Jimin then exchanged glances, "We are not going to fight about this now right?" Jimin asked. Taehyung just shrugged.
The others from Odemore were just watching them in puzzle.
While the five of them were out in the village, Namjoon was having the time of his own by staring out in the window.
"N-Namjoon..." a weak voice called. He turned around and walked to the bed. "Yes, my King?" he looked at a man that looks almost at the end of his life.
"Na-Namjoon...my son..."
"Yes...father." He took the king's hand in his.
"Take care...of Hwayangyeonhwa. Odemore ....they're evil."
Namjoon shook his head, "Sorry father but I'm going to do it my own way now." He gently placed down his father's hand on the quilt and looked at him with sad eyes. "I had enough of killing the innocent. And I won't let my brothers get their hands dirty by killing the innocent." He bowed to the king before he walked out from the room.
*I need their king's agreement on this. I hope they will join forces with us.* Namjoon thought.
