Chapter 25

Third Person POV

Haneul was breastfeeding Jaewoo when suddenly Bomi yelled from the living room. "Omma! Samchon's shadow people is here!" She then giggled.

Haneul frowned deeply, "Shadow people??" Haneul gently pulled away Jaewoo, disturbing his meal time. "Hold on, prince. Omma needs to check something." She said to Jaewoo as she fixed her shirt.

"Omma!!!" Gaeul and Bomi called out loud. Taking Jaewoo in her arms, she ran towards the door.

She opened the door of the master bedroom and was surprised when she came face-to-face with the shadow man. She let out a slight yell.

Bomi giggled as she played with the shadow man in the living room. Haneul then looked back at the shadow man standing in front of her.

"What's wrong? Why did Minghao oppa send you here? What happened?" She asked the shadow. The shadow man showed Haneul its palm and a shape started to appear on the palm of the shadow man.

She let out a gasp, "The palace!!!" She was panicking. "Take care of him." She passed Jaewoo to the shadow man but the shadow man shook its head. "No time to argue with me! Now look after my kids! I need to help them!" Haneul said to the shadow man in anger.

"Omma?" Gaeul went to her, "Is appa okay?" "I don't think so, honey. Can you watch over your sister and Jaewoo for me?" Haneul passed Jaewoo to Gaeul and she took him from her mother. "Am I allow to use my power?" Her daughter asked. "No honey. You're too young. But if you have to, I gave you permission okay. Only when you or your sister and brother's life are in danger, okay?" Haneul gently stroked her head and Gaeul nodded. "Good girl. Do not leave the house unless you have too, okay. I will be back as soon as everything is under control. Take care honey. I love you." Haneul kissed Gaeul's head before she went to kiss Jaewoo and Bomi.

"Keep them safe." Haneul whispered lowly to the shadow men before she stepped out from the house. She surrounded the entire house with her wind barrier. She then rushed to the palace.

Meanwhile, at the palace...

"Minghao, copy my power and protect the King!" S.Coups ordered. As fast as the speed of light, Minghao's shadow traveled through the palace ground, straight away to the King's chamber.

"Hyung!" DK pushed S.Coups to the side as some vampires tried to attack him. DK then turned towards the vampires and let out a loud roar. With his voice manipulation power, his roar was louder than other vampires had. Some vampires started to crouch onto the ground, covering their ears. Some weaker vampires even started to have blood oozing out from their ears.

"Thanks." S.Coups thanked the younger. "Sure." DK nodded before he went back to fight the vampires.

"How did they get in??" Seungkwan asked before he threw another punch. "No one knows!" Dino punched another vampire using his super-speed power. "Where's Jeonghan hyung?? Joshua hyung??" Hoshi asked before he reflected an attack from a vampire using his enhanced mirror technique.

"They went to the King's chamber!" Wonwoo kicked a vampire. "All by themselves?? You know their power is not for the battlefield!" Minggyu cursed and was about to run towards the King's chamber when a figure stopped him.

"What do you need??"

All eyes widened in shock; especially S.Coups. "Love, what are you doing here??? The kids-" "I already put a barrier!" Haneul punched a vampire that came towards her. "And Minghao's shadows are there as well!" Haneul answered before she attacked a vampire with her wind attack.

"You guys take care of everything here! I'm going inside!" Haneul said before she ran into the palace. When she reached inside, the sight made her want to throw out. Dead bodies were everywhere; the maids, the servants, the guards, the unknown vampires.

A loud scream broke her thought. She wasted no time and ran towards the voice. When she reached there, two vampires were cornering Maid Han.

"Ms. Han!" Haneul ran towards her. "My lady!" Maid Han almost cried at the sight of her. The two vampires turned around and started to run towards Haneul. She waved her hand and at once, wind bullet pierced through the vampires' bodies.

Haneul hurriedly went to get Maid Han. "Are you okay? Where are the others? Are they okay?" she asked her and Maid Han slowly nodded. Tears brimmed her eyes. "Most of us managed to escape. B-But...lady, we lost..Madam Kang." Maid Han announced.

Hanuel gritted her teeth. "Da*n it! Where do they come from!" she clenched her fist. "I promise I'm going to seek revenge for Madam Kang.

Madam Kang is one of the maids that work at the palace the longest. She knows everything about the royal family, the structure of the palace and even the secret passages. And she's a trustworthy and responsible maid too.

Haneul grabbed onto Maid Han's hand. "Come with me. We need to find the King." Maid Han nodded eagerly. She knew better than staying alone at the moment. Even as a vampire, she couldn't go against a group of vampires that are more powerful than she is.

While they were walking up the stairs, another movement from downstairs caught Haneul's attention.

She turned around to see only the back part of the woman but she knew well who the woman is.

Haneul stopped running"Maid Han, change of plan. You will have to go to the King's chamber on your own."

"But what about you, My Lady??" Maid Han was sincerely worried for her. Haneul smiled, "Don't worry about me. I'll be there later." She waved her hand and created a wind barrier around Maid Han. "The barrier will disappear once you see Joshua and the others. Now go Maid Han."

Maid Han nodded, "Thank you, My Lady. And please be safe." She said to Haneul before she continued to run upstairs.
