Chapter 14: Trouble brewed

"ahhhhhhhhhhh" Gulf screamed as the water hit his hand

"I am sorry" Tar said not looking sorry at all. "Wait I'll get something for your injury", he turned and left

Tar didn't mean to hurt Gulf, he just wanted to tumble Gulf so that he could blame Gulf for breaking Mew's cup and then Mew would get angry cause it was a cup that he never let go off. Everyone knew how important the cup was.

Gulf immediately put his hand under cold water, to easy the stinging pain. It was not getting any better but he tried to forget the pain and continued to make the tea as he didn't want to delay his first job that he had.

Minutes later Tar came back with the cream and gave it to Gulf to put on his hand

"It was not my fault, you should have looked back before you stepped around" Tar said

Gulf didn't say anything. He took the cream and put it his pants pocket mumbling a thank you to Tar

"I think the tea is ready, I'll give it to the CEO" Gulf said picking up the tray and heading out the pantry

"Its fine you go to the office and start on the paper work, I'll take it to him" Tar said, quickly taking the tray from Gulf's hand.

Tar knew he would be in trouble if Gulf went to the CEO.

Thanking Tar for teaching him, he went to the office to start his work whilst Tar headed to the office

Gulf was struggling to type with both the hands due to the 2nd degree superficial burn on his left hand but he needed to get work finished. He was wincing every now and then, earning glares from his office mates

Tar on the other hand went to the office and knocked the door. Gaining permission he entered the office and placed the tea on Mew's table

"Where is Gulf?" Mew inquired

"I send him to the office to complete the paper work" Tar said with hesitation in his voice

"I think, I told him to get me the tea and not you" Mew said emphasizing the I 

"Are you defying my orders now Tar" Mew was getting irritated

"I didn't mean that, 'I just wanted to help........"

"Get him here ASAP" Mew cut Tar off

Tar picked up his phone and texted Gulf to come to the CEO's office

"Don't you dare tell him what happened in the pantry" Tar texted knowing how much trouble he could get into. Bullying was not tolerated in the company what so ever

"Knock, knock"

"Come in" Mew said

Gulf came and stood in front of Mew's table with his hand folded at his back

"How was the learning process" Mew asked

"It was interesting and has a lot of process, never thought that tea could be so complicated" Gulf said explaining to Mew unintentionally gesturing with his hands whilst Tar eyes were almost going to jump out of his sockets

"What is that on your hand, it was not there in the morning " Mew said pointing at Gulf's hand

"This is........."

"Go on..... if you don't tell me I wouldn't know" Mew said to Gulf

"When I was making you tea, I spilled hot water over it" Gulf said

"Spilled hot water???" Mew said questioning Gulf "Did you get treatment for it?"

"I got the burns cream for him Sir" Tar interjected

Gulf was not the type of person who would rat out someone, but he always hoped that the person would learn from their mistakes.

Mew got up from his chair and stood in front of Gulf inspecting his hand.

"This doesn't look treated" Mew said gently taking Gulf's hard and patting his upper arm careful not to touch the burn

"Oh!! Since I was working, I forgot to put the cream, it's in my pocket" Gulf said extending his right hand into his pocket and pulling out the cream which was immediately snatched by Mew, confusing Gulf.

Mew opened the tube and gently as ever applied the cream on Gulf's hand. By every second Gulf could see the pain flashing across Mew's face. it was not like Mew was hurt.

"Go to the in-house infirmary to get it treated" Mew almost ordered Gulf

"I'll excuse myself" Gulf said as he turned around and left for the infirmary

"What happened?" Mew asked Tar

"Nothing Sir, it's what Gulf has said" Tar said controlling himself to remain as poised as possible

"You can go now" Mew said and turned around and walked back to his desk

The moment Tar left the room, Mew was on the intercom with the security department

"I want the CCTV footage of the pantry, timed at 2:00 pm, ASAP"

"Sure sir" responded the person on the other end

Minutes later Mew got an email that infuriated him.

"Get Tar to my room ASAP" Mew said on his intercom

Tar who thought he had escaped the ordeal didn't realize the the cameras served a purpose in the company

"Are you trying to make a fool out of me Tar" Mew said

"I don't understand" Tar was initially confused

"You know very well what you did in the pantry"

Then it dawned on to Tar, he was caught on security camera. His judgment was clouded the moment Mew preferred Gulf over him. I was closer to Mew then Gulf, tar said to himself

"But, I was the one who had the privilege......." Tar started

"You are my friends' brother and nothing else, I respected that bond and this what you are doing" Mew was getting angry "Don't cross over again, I'll end today as a warning, there will be no next time"

Tar rushed out the door more pissed off than ever. Mew was his brothers friend but also his friends.... Weren't they...they spend so much time together, was that for nothing

Everyone is the company knew how close Tar was to Mew, internally they were afraid of Tar as he always used his authority to threaten them and make them do his work.

Now that Gulf was here, they knew that Gulf wouldn't be able to escape Tar's clutches. The moment Mew focused on Gulf, Tar was putting his plan in action.......

A/N: I woke up to 1K reads and couldn't have been anymore happier. (I slept for 30 hours straight. hehehehe)
