Chapter 21: Thank you

2 men clad in fancy suits in a buffet restaurant, where they crazy or were they showing off, lucky they didn't notice the 2 boys entering the restaurant so the boys, Gulf and Bright, did their best to sneak in without getting their attention, but God bless the waitress who had to announce to the world that there were new customers....

"A table for two, Sir" she asked

"Yes" Gulf said trying to speak in his slowest tone as he could

The 2 men turned their head and smirked, then one of them raised their hand and the waitress went to them

"They are with us" he said loud and clear

Shit...shit..shit, all color drained from Gulfs' and Brights' face, they had no choice but to join, who would dare deny their superiors calling unless they wanted consequences. Gulf was already in trouble from his previous encounter and so was Bright. Refusing was not an option on their list

"I'll arrange for 2 more cutlery sets" the waitress said, and then the other waitress led Gulf and Bright to their doomsday chairs.

Gulf and Bright had no option but to sit face to face and next to Mew and Win respectively.

Mew got up and pulled out the chair for Gulf, but as Win was about to do so, Bright held the chair, gave Win a glare almost, and then sat in the chair, puzzling Win.

As the cutlery rolled in, Mew offered Gulf food

"Go on and eat" he said to both the boys

Gulf with his shaking fingers started eating. His spoon was doing a shaking dance and no matter how much he wanted to stop the trembling he couldn't, who could when their superior is staring at them.

Win was about to serve Bright when he stopped him.

"I can serve myself" Bright said to Win in a rude tone almost shocking Win in his spot. Had it been someone else Mew would have reprimanded them for their behavior but since he was next to Gulf he paid no heed to what was going on across the table. His eyes were glued to Gulf, making Gulf uncomfortable for his life

"Do you want anything?" Gulf asked slowly, lifting his eyes from his plate to make eye contact with Mew, which he failed terribly

"No. Go ahead and continue eating" Mew said smiling

"Are you sure? You are staring at my plate, do you want something from it" Gulf inquired

Only if you knew what I was staring at............ Mew lost in his thoughts

Bright and Win ate in silence not a word from either mouths. Even when Win tried making small talks Bright would ignore him blatantly.

"Mew, what are you..." Win was staring at Mew like crazy

When Mew came back to reality he realized he had unconsciously extended his hand behind Gulf's headrest of the chair and his other hand was almost going to hug Gulf...

"uhh, I was just stretching" Mew said immediately retracting his hand and placing them in front of him

After the meal was done, they called the waitress over to pay the bill. Mew and Win argued over who would pay the bill as both of them wanted to.... Win won in the end and ended up paying the credit

They walked to the parking lot, Mew and Win in front whilst Gulf and Bright behind them. They were just dropping of their senior and then they would walk back to the office.

"ummmm...." Bright started

No one heard him so no one stopped only Gulf looked at him. What was Bright doing, Gulf thought.......

Mew had reached his car whilst Win said his bye and headed to his car two lanes down.

He opened his car door and sat in and when he was about to close the door something stopped it .

Win immediately looked up. Bright was holding the door.

"ummm.." Brights eyes were flying all over. He didn't want to do this but he was grateful. Mew had already spilled the beans to Bright, when he went to thank Mew, to which Mew told him it was Win and not himself, so he had no choice but to go thank Win.

"I am in a hurry, we can talk in the office" Win said, trying to close the door

"Thank you for helping me clear my name" Bright said at the speed of lightning, making it difficult for Win to make out his words

"huh" Win said unable to comprehend Brights words

"Thank you ...." Bright said again now slowing down

Win was shocked, he never though he would ever hear the words thank you from Bright's mouth, is this really Bright.....at least the first layer of ice was broken. As much as he hated Mil for framing Bright, he was also thanking for this opportunity....good going Mil but I am not going to lesser your punishment

"That's it" Bright said closing Wins door and sprinting towards Gulf, he didn't even listen to what Win said in response

We can take it slow no problem, Win thought to himself as he drove out of the parking lot
