Chapter 30: My fault!

"Seo, wake up, dude, don't do this to me" Win shook Seo like crazy

"Win, take care of my family, tell them I love them, I know you like Bri..." Seo spoke as he lost consciousness

"Seo, wake up, I am sorry, it is my fault" Win screamed as the S.W.A.T team rounded up the perpetrators and the ambulatory team was transporting the injured off the cruise to the hospital

Win didn't leave Seo's side, he held on to his hand like crazy.....

"Please wake up, I'll always listen to you, I swear.... Wake up and argue with me, please" Win pleaded all through out the helicopter ride.

Seo was rolled into the operation theater and minutes later the doctor came out and shook his head and Win lost his world then and there......

What was he going to say to Seo's family, it was because of him this happened. How would he explain to them, would they even listen to him......

Win himself was soo injured that he was hospitalized..........

Seo's family was immediately notified and they rushed to the hospital, and they ran to Seo's room

"Bro, stop playing games with us" Liz said holding Seo's hand and shaking it whilst removing the white cover from his face. Bright on the other hand stood there silently, he knew that he couldn't break down, he was the only support to his mom and sister

"Wake up, Seo, please" Liz said "who is going to take me to school now, who would buy me  ice cream at midnight" Liz broke down along with her mother

Bright hugged both of them and tried to console them. All of this was watched by Win from the open door far away

3 days later, they were going to bury the brave soldiers whilst honoring them with their family.

"Seo Vachirawit, Head of the alpha team, a brave soldier, who passed away in the line of duty whilst protecting Win, will be raised three positions, may his soul rest in peace"

Bright slowly lowered his brother into the grave as slowly as possible, he just couldn't believe he was doing this, with his own hands, this was as real as it could get

Win on the other hand couldn't face the family at all. After all the procession was finished, Win gathered courage and went to the place the Vachirawit was standing at.

The moment Brights' mom saw him, she hugged Win as tightly as she could. She knew that this boy was hurting as much as they were, not only did he loose his best friend, he lost him within his arms.

Win broke down into tears in her arms and kept on apologizing. She hushed him as she patted his back.

"It's fine, don't cry, it was not your fault" She consoled him "I know my son, he always wanted to be a hero " she fell silent after that.

Bright didn't even make eye contact with Win at all, he knew he would explode if he even looked at him

Days later Win visited the Vachirawit family

Ding, dong...... Ding, dong....

"What do you want ?" Bright asked Win straight up

"I came to visit" Win said slowly

"The nerve you have to show your face here after what you did" Bright almost spit on Wins' face

Win became silent, he had no reply for this

"Who is it Bright?" Brights' mom came out and inquired "Oh! Win, come in, why are you standing there? Bright get out of his way.... Stop being stubborn"

Bright moved and gave Win access to pass and he walked out the door

"Bright where are you going?" His mother asked

"A place where I don't see his face" Bright retorted as he left the house, he knew it won't end well, if he stayed in the same place as Win

"Don't mind him?" Brights' mom said to Win

"I am sorry" Win said ..... unable to complete his sentence

She had cooked his favorite food....... As they sat at the table, Win scooped food for Brights' mom and put in her plate.....

Tears gently rolled down his mom's face. Whenever they had food, Seo would scoop food for his mom. Win occasionally would join the Vachirawit family for dinner, so when Win did this, he realized that his mom remembered Seo.

He got up from his seat and hugged Bright's mom.

"I am sorry, I will be the Seo for you" Win said crying, he knew apologizing was not enough, but there was nothing else he could do

"Get away from my mom" an angry Bright stormed through the door "you being Seo, in your dreams"

"Bright, control yourself, you were not taught like this" Bright's mom said angrily "Win dear, please continue eating"

Bright stormed to his room, how could his mom just forgive Win for what he did.

Hours later he heard Win saying his byes, so he left his room to follow Win.

Once they were both outside the house...

"Don't you dare show your face here again" Bright angrily said to Win

"I want to take care on behalf of Seo, please" Win said

Bright angrily advanced towards Win and held his collar "Mom and Liz might have forgiven you but not me"

"Please don't be like this Bright, Seo is my best friend" Win reasoned

"Was, not is, he is dead, no..., you killed him because of your selfishness" Bright screamed "He was my only brother, you took him away from me, how could you" Bright couldn't contain himself "Don't come here again"

"Seo told me take care of you guys" Win said

"Did he? And you are going to listen to him now..... why didn't you listen to him when he told you not to go to the cruise ship... why now??"

"Bright, please, don't take this task away from me, I am regretting it very much" Win was sobbing now

"Win, you are no longer part of the family, I hate you" Bright said his final words, pushed Win and slammed the door on his face

This chapter might have been an emotional ride for you, but I hope you coped well......Emotional scenes are difficult to write because I always cry while writing them. My bro always jokes at me by saying, either write or cry, how can you cry at what you itself have written
