When I returned home the following day, I dropped Ash a text message, needless to say she responded straight away.

Callie: Hey. That is me back home. So, about that date...if you are still interested, I am in.

Ashley: That is great! I have missed you. Do you want to hang out tonight?

With the words ringing in my ears from my friends over the weekend, guided me to the response that I gave her.

Callie: Most definitely. I am going to book dinner reservations for seven and I will pick you up at quarter to.

Ashley: Sounds good to me. Be seeing you tonight :-)

There is it again. Be seeing you. It was a phrase that had popped up several times in the past few months. From the first time I met Ash and more recently Jamie. Then it hit me. Amanda.

She was always rubbish at saying goodbyes so she would say that phrase as she deemed it as less painful. My sign was there all along.

With my own dark cloud and stupidity, I had refused to see it. "Thank you, Amanda..." I whispered as I unpacked my clothes from the weekend.

Arriving at Ashley's, on time I might add, which is brilliant for me, I was nervous as hell. Switching off the engine I blew out a breath of anticipation to go and knock on her door, but I looked up and she had stepped out the house. "Holy hell..." I muttered to myself as I seen Ashley in her outfit.
She was looking rather hot. Rock chick hot.

She had what I would describe as an oversized t-shirt that looked like a dress, patriotic British colours and a skull on the front. Accompanied by black knee-high boots that my eyes travelled up and down and a fur like jacket on her shoulders. I will have to wipe the drool from my lips before she gets into the car.

"Hey. Thank you for picking me up."

"No problem." Trying to divert my eyes from her legs, I reached over and kissed her on her cheek. Whispering in her ear how amazing she looks, and she gave me a broad smile.

We set off and we made it to the restaurant in time. Of course, I picked locally, I am not familiar with the area.

Getting out the car and walking towards the restaurant, I noticed that Ashley was a little behind, so I stopped. "You look stunning Callie."

My attire was just a simple look. Dark blue jeans, light blue top, leather jack, leather boots to suit with my hair falling around my shoulders.
"I decided on casual, but if I knew you were dressing up, I would have made more of an effort."

I took Ashley by the hand and started to walk to the restaurant when she chuckled. "This old thing? I just threw it on without thinking."

Ashley

Lies. I wanted to show Callie what she had been missing and by judging her reactions, I have hit the spot. We were seated at our table and Callie looked at me with those smouldering eyes of hers. "Well, even if it is old, you still look stunning." Causing my cheeks to flush.

The waiter came and took our drink orders. I ordered a glass of wine to calm my nerves whilst Callie stayed simple and ordered an orange juice as she was driving.

"How was your weekend?" Callie enquired.

"It was rather quiet. I spent some time at the gym and then with Jaz."

Callie smirked as her response flew from her mouth. "I hope that you haven't pulled anymore personal trainers..."

"Well, at the moment I only have eyes for one and thankfully, she is sitting right in front of me." I swear I watched Callie blush for the first time. "So, how was your weekend."
