Upstead haileys family return part 1

PART 2 IS COMIN TOMORROW

So it was a normal morning for Hailey she went on run went home showered and just as she was about to hop in her car someone yelled her name and she recognized the voice right away so she hurried in her car and drove to the one person she knew could and would help her Jay so she drove over to his place and hoped he was home when she got there she went and knocked and waited a few minutes then the door opened and the person she wanted to see most was standing there when he opened the door he was surprised to see her there she walked in and sat down Jay walked over and saw she was about in tears
J: hey what's up
H: give me a sec please
J: ok
They sat there for min when Hailey finally spoke up and said
H: my dad came by the house a few minutes ago
J: how did he know where you live
H: I don't know but he also has been calling says he wants to talk I just ignored and figured he would stop calling and leave me alone I guess not
By this point she was crying Jay saw and stood up and hugged her when she felt Jays arms around her she broke down she was scared her dad would come back and hurt her like he did when she was little and it scared
J: hey
She looked up and stared into he green emerald eyes
J: he's not going to hurt you not again I will make sure of it ok
H: ok thanks Jay
A few minutes later jay says
J: hey you good for work or do you want to stay here
H: stay here if its ok since my dad knows where I live
J: yeah that's fine feel free to get stuff from the fridge and all ok I'm going to head into work call me if you need anything ok
H: ok thanks jay
J: anytime partner
Jay grabs his badge gun and says bye to Hailey and heads for the district he arrives at the district walks in says hey to Platt and heads up the stairs when he gets there he sees a random guy there. When jay walks up everyone looks up and says hi then the random guy walks up to jay and says hey I'm Jake Hailey's father when Jay hears that Hailey's dad is in front of him it takes everything he has not to just punch they guy then Voight walks in and says
V: nice of you to join us Halstead
J: sorry I'm late sarge
V: do you know where Upton is her father here wants to see her
J: yeah she back at my place she showed up after he *points to Jake her dad* showed up at her house
HD: is she coming I really want to see her I've been calling but she hasn't answered
J: no she's don't want to come in
HD: why is that
J: I don't maybe because she doesn't want to see you and seems you can't take a hint that she doesn't want to see
HD: what's that supposed to mean she's my daughter I have a right to see her you can't keep her from me
J: I aunt keeping her from she doesn't want to see that's why she has been ignoring your calls and hopped in her car really fast when you showed up at her place this morning
V: what do you mean he showed up at her house
J: he went to her house and as she walking to her car he called her name and she panicked and got in her car real fast and drove over to my place that's why I was late just as I was fixing to leave when Hailey showed up a mess
V: Jake is this true
HD: yes, I showed up at her house and she hopped in her car and drove off before we could talk. I just want to see her and see if she wanted to come over for dinner one night but she never answered her phone or anything
J: I wonder why maybe it's the way you treated her your other kids and wife when she was younger
HD: you need to shut your mouth you have no idea what happened when they were little and how I treated them
J: I very much know what happened Hailey's told me everything that you did when she was younger and I have to hand it to you are very brave trying to call and reconnect
V: jay how did he treat Hailey her siblings and mom when they were younger
J: this SOB yelled at his wife and kids and other stuff
HD: I did no such thing
J: yeah right then how come Hailey says you did
HD: she has always been a liar when it came to that stuff
J: she didn't lie I know that's for sure she showed police reports of it all and so you are the liar not her
HD: you have no right to speak to me that way and keep my daughter away from me
J: I do have the right to talk to you like that and I aint keeping her away this her decision I mean she is the one who showed up at my apartment almost in tears and before I left I asked her if she wanted to come in or not she said no so it is solely her decision that she aint here
HD: I DEMAND TO SEE MY DAUGHTER RIGHT NOW
J: if Hailey says she don't want to see you then you aint
HD: LIKE HELL TAKE ME TO MY DAUGHTETR NOW
J: OVER MY DEAD BODY WILL YOU SEE HER
V: ok enough it's time for you to go Jake NOW
HD: this aint over
He storms out all mad thinking of what to do next
A: so Hailey is at your apartment
J: yeah
V: well I want you to stay with her till we figure out what her dads plan is
J: will do sarge
Jay leaves and drove straight to his apartment making sure he wasn't being followed when he arrived home he didn't see Hailey anywhere he checked the bathroom then when he went to check his room he found her asleep in his bed in one of his t-shirts he took a picture because she was just too cute not to he then went and decided to make them an omelet just as he finished making the omelet Hailey comes out with her hair all messed up and still in his shirt
J: morning
H: what are you doing back
J: well I live here *he said with a chuckle*
H: yeah I know that I mean aren't you supposed to be at work
J: yeah but your dad showed up at work looking for you demanding to see you I told him he screamed and I exposed him some
Hailey started to worry and wonder what jay told them team he saw so he finished his sentence
J: I only told that he yelled at y'all nothing else don't worry
H: ohh ok so what happened after that
J: he yelled demanding to see you I kept saying no he kept getting till Voight had enough and told your dad to leave and he did but he's planning something Voight's almost sure of it so you're staying with me till we figure it you good with that
H: yeah why wouldn't I be ok with that
J: I don't but anyways want an omelet
H: please I'm Hungary
J: you comfy
he said with a chuckle she quickly looked down and realized she still his shirt her cheeks turned red she decided to make a joke sooo
h: yeah
j: ok let's eat
they eat and have talk here and there then when there done they go and watch movies for the rest of the day around 10 jay looks down to find Hailey asleep on his lap he just stays there for minute before slipping out from under her head he then picked her up and carried her to the guest bedroom tucked her in and went and laid in his bed and fell asleep and around 2 in the morning jay gets woken up by a scream he rushes into Hailey's room to find her crying he walked over to her and hugged her telling her she was safe after a little while she calmed down and was getting sleepy so jay stood up and was leaving when she said
h: stay please
j: are you sure
h: yes
she patted the bed meaning she was sure
j: ok
he walked over and hopped in she cuddled into his side he just smiled and went to sleep
the next morning Hailey woke up first she was still cuddled into jay's side and he had his arm around her waist she looked up and just smiled a couple moments later jay started to wake up he looked down to find Hailey drawing circles on his chest she clearly not realizing he was awake till he said
j: good morning
h: good morning
j: how long have you been awake
h: not long thanks for last night and staying
j: anytime Hails you hungry
h: yeah
j: want me to make breakfast
h: no ill do it
j: you sure
h: yes, you've done so much for me the least I could do is make you breakfast
j: ok
she gets up and heads to the kitchen to make them breakfast while is going through the cupboards she finds he don't have a lot of food. While she is making them breakfast jay showers and changes then heads out to the kitchen he sees Hailey cooking and humming not noticing he is standing there so he gets his phone out and plays the song she is humming when he does she jumps a little because she didn't know he was there and listening
j: sorry just thought you would want to listen to the song since you were humming it
h: ohh we need to grocery shopping to by the way because you have hardly no food in your cupboards
j: yeah sorry I eat a lot of take out because I either at work or when I get home I'm usually too tired to cook
h: wait so your saying Jay Halstead knows how to cook *she said with a chuckle*
j: haha very funny and yes I do know how to thank you very much
h: but we do need to go to the store to get grocery's because we can nit eat takeout for who knows how long and I also need to head home to pick up some cloths
j: ok want to go after breakfast
h: yes, and I'm also going to need to borrow shirt if that's ok
j: Hailey why wouldn't it be ok I mean you're wearing my shirt right now
she looks down and realized she is still in his shirt
h: ehh you got a point *she hands him a plate of food* here you go
j: thank you
Hailey watches as he eats to see if he likes. He takes a bite and decides to have a little fun so he gets a disgusted look on his face and looks at Hailey who is kind of starting to panic then all of sudden Jay starts laughing Hailey is confused to why he is laughing
h: what are you laughing at
j: your face when I made like I didn't like it
h: wait so you do like it because your face made it seem like you didn't
j: yes, I like I made that face to see your reaction it was priceless *he says while laughing*
h: that's not nice
j: plz like you've never played a joke on me before
h: well ok fine it was a little bit funny
j: more like a lot funny
h: oh whatever just eat your food
j: no arguments here
they eat then Hailey goes and showers and changes so they can leave when she is done she walks out into the living room to find jay on his phone
h: ready to go
j: yeah you
h: yeah let's go so I was thinking we could head to my place first then the store that good with you
j: yeah and while you were getting ready Voight called and said that we are off till they figure out your dad's plan
h: ok that's a relief
j: yeah ok let's go
Hailey was a little nervous about leaving the apartment and jay noticed so he said
j: hey I'm not going to let him get close to you or hurt ok
he puts his hand on her should and gives her a reassuring squeeze she smiled realizing jay would keep her safe and that made her feel better so she said
h: ok let's go I'm ready
they head to hailer's house when they pull up Hailey says
h: he's here
j: what do you mean he's here
h: my dad he is over there *she points to brown suv*
j: ok we will be fine we are going to head in and if he tries to approach I want you to run in the house and stay till I come and say its safe ok
h: ok
j: you ready
h: ready as ill ever be
they get out of car Jay can see that Hailey is nervous so he puts an arm around her and whispered he wouldn't let anything happen to her she smiled and said thank you just as Hailey got the door opened Hailey rushed in house closing the door and went to hide while Jay stayed outside to make sure he didn't get to Hailey.
J: she doesn't want to see you so why are here
HD: well her mom and brother here want to see her * a woman and a guy show up*
