Backstory: so they had a case and it brought up memories from Haileys childhood and it haunted her and she hasn't told anyone but jay

They had just solved the case and it hit hailey close to home Vanessa saw jay went over to her

Vanessa heard them and knew it hit hard for hailey she didn't know how but she really did want to know so she decided to swing by jays place to see when she did she knocked just as jay was pouring her and his drinks he opened the door to find Vanessa there
V: hey can I talk to you
J: yeah

J: ok
V: what's up with Hailey
J: I don't know

V: tell me or else I go to voight and tell him all about your ptsd and make sure you are on desk duty

He left to go get food and while he was she went in and started talking to her hailey knew he told and got mad she was mad he told he should have never told so  she stormed out Vanessa called jay and told him everything  he shook his head he knew this would happen meanwhile hailey went to her car and drove away angry and sad and just as she was a intersection when she was t-boned she was knocked unconscious the driver didn't see he had red light he called 911 he went over to her car to find her unconscious and when the ambulance got there they loaded her up in the ambulance and went to the hospital when she came in will saw it was her meanwhile jay was out looking for hailey upset that he told her but also mad hailey told Vanessa his secret he then got a phone call from Will saying that hailey was there and was in a car accident he felt like his world cam crashing down he turned his lights on and drove as fast as he could to the hospital he called Vanessa on his way there she said she would meet him there when he got there Vanessa was just arriving they ran in will stopped them and said she had a broken rib and some bruised ones she also has a fractured bone in her arm so she was real lucky she's awake
J: can we see her
W: uhhh she said she doesn't want to see you
J: what
W: yeah sorry
V: can I see her
W: yeah
J: tell her I'm sorry but I have a question first
V: ok
J: how did you find out about my ptsd
V: hailey told me

Jay walked out he was so mad he was upset he went to his apartment he was mad he then went to the gym he kept punching the punching bag he was there for an he then left he went home showered while he was in the shower he just cried he dried his tears and got out dried off got dressed and when he was done  he got a phone call from his old CO he asked to meet so jay changed and went to met up with  him he was nervous and curious as to what he wanted when he got there  he was told he had to go back overseas for a year jay was in shock he wanted to argue but didn't argue because if haileys mad as fire with him and says that there friendship is over then why would he not go he also hardly sees Will due to the jobs they have and he thinks time apart will be good his CO says you leave in  tomorrow
J: ok
Jay was quite surprised it was so soon he expected next week not tomorrow but he left and  he went to his apartment packed he got everything set at hiss apartment he then went to voight he was sad his best detective going to be gone for a year then he went to will and told him he was devastated
W: be safe I love you brother
J: ok I have a favor to ask
W: ok what is it
J: can I see hailey
W: you know I can't
J: I leave for a year and will not be back it's only for one minute to say goodbye to her then I'm gone

Jay walked in
H: get out I don't you here
J: give me one minute then I will leave not talk to you or try to see you
H: yeah right
J: no I'm not
H: yes you are
J: No I'm not I promise but why did you tell her about my ptsd

J: then how does she know and why did she say you told her

J: oh she didn't tell me she threatened me the only reason I told was so voight wouldn't know about my ptsd she threatened me hailey that's why anyways I got to go big day head tomorrow
H: Tomorrow what do you mean
J: I came to tell you good bye
H: why
J: because I leave tomorrow
H: where a undercover op because you think a month or two apart will make me forgive you well your wrong
J: no I'm not going undercover and no this was not my idea I don't have a choice
H: yeah right it's a undercover op or your taking vacation
J: no I'm being redeployed
H: yeah right
J: I'm not lying my co called me and told me I'm being redeployed for a year or more
H: liar
J: ok I guess you will find out tomorrow and that dats after that
Jay walked out when he walked out and his facial expression she knew he wasn't lying
H: jay come backkk
He didn't so she turned to Vanessa
H: did you threatened him
V: yes but in my defense I was looking out for you
H: why didn't you tell me I was mad this whole time at him for something you forced him to do
V: I did t force him
H: did you threatened him by telling voight about his ptsd
V: yes
H: unbelievable

H: you blackmailed Jay into telling you and had me mad at him this whole time and now he is leaving for a year or more serving our country and he thinks I'm still mad at him
V: I'm sorry i was just worried about you and I know you have the tendency to shut down
H: yeah because I always get hurt when I open up and Jay was the only one who hasn't and now I thought he did  tell but he only told you because he was threatened you and also told because it's you he knows you and the why how could I be so stupid

Hailey turned on her side and started to cry she had requested Jay not to see her and now he's leaving going to a very dangerous part of Afghanistan Vanessa went to calm her down and soothe her hailey broke down she really wanted Jay now.
Over the next year hailey was missing jay so much she kept listening to voicemails he left and videos of him she would cry herself to sleep everynight because of how much she missed him
           ** year five months later**

Jays plane had just landed him and all his buddies got off and headed to his apartment will knew he was coming back will told hailey because he knew how much she missed him she he told her so she could be there when he returned jay had just walked in his apartment he set his bag down and sighed in relief he was ffixing to walk and head to his room when he saw her he was shocked he wasn't expecting her to be there at all
J: hi
H: hi welcome home
J:thank you  what are you doing here
H: I came to welcome you home 
J: thank you
H: I also came to say I'm sorry
J: ok
H: I'm sorry I should have ever second guessed you
J: why did you
H: because whenever I open up to people they usually hurt me when I do
J: I'm not like them
H: I'm sorry I thought you were I was just mad can you ever forgive me
J: yes but why did you tell Vanessa about my ptsd

J: how could you I trusted you to keep it a secret because if anyone finds out I could be put on desk duty or fired

H: I was mad so I was ranting and it slipped I'm sorry
J: ok don't let it happen again

Jay was surprised
H: I love you I have for a while it's ok if you don
She was cut off by him kissing her she smiled
