When Kelly hung up he just walked back over and watched stella sleep for a minute but then she shot straight up and was panting he walked over laid back down pulled her into his chest and said it's ok over and over again then her panting turned into sobs he just held her and said your ok after a little while she calmed down
K: wanna talk about it
S: it was dream Renee shot you and killed you
K: hey I'm here I'm fine ok
S: ok
He kissed her
K: go back to sleep I will be here when you wake up
S: ok
She cuddled into his chest and closed her eyes he kissed her head
K: I love you stell
She smiled
S: I love you to Kel
He smiled she slowly drifted off to sleep and over the next two days Stella was getting more and more frustrated she couldn't sleep through the night Kelly saw and he hated it she was always hard on self Kelly hated it but she finally had a smile on her face because the doctor just told her she could go home he loved seeing her happy. They packed up and left

                                ****at the apartment****

They get in the apartment when they do

K: welcome home stell
Stella smiled at the nickname he gave her
S: good to be home
K: you can say that again. Where do wanna go bedroom or couch
S: bedroom but only if you join me
K: I was planning on it
They walked to the bedroom she climbed in so did he she cuddled into his chest
K: you good
S: yes. How could I not be I'm at home in your arms
K: ok I was making sure
S: I love you
She looked up and he kissed her then there was a knock on the door they looked confused then Kelly got up to see who it was he looked out to find his neighbor and some woman standing out there he was confused but opened the door
K: hey
N: hey sorry to bother you but I have question
K: ok
N: are you single
K: no
N: ok when y'all break up my daughter is available * pointed to the woman behind her*
K: ok
He closed the door and mumbled
K: that's never gonna happen I hope
He walked back into the room
S: who was at the door
K: the neighbor
S: what did she want
K: to know if I was single I said no she said well when I am her daughter is available
He walked over and climbed back in bed
S: well I hope that ain't gonna happen
K: me either
He kissed her and wrapped his hand around her waist and brought her closer and held her waist tightly she smiled and wrapped her hands around his neck he leaned in and kissed her she smiled and cuddled into his chest

  Three days later Kelly headed out to go get stellas ring so he could propose since he couldn't last week him and Casey went to pick out the ring and Brett was staying with Stella. Stella knew something was up Kelly had been acting strange but brushed it off now she was just focusing on a girls day with Brett they laughed talked about there relationships. With the boys they were picking out a ring
C: The Kelly Severide finally ready to settle down and ain't drunk
K: Casey she has stuck by me through everything with my dad with this Renee thing got shot slapped punched and shot and still stuck by me and makes sure I ok when she's the one having nightmares that I was the one shot she's the one
C: damn you are in deep
K: wouldn't want any other way
C: damn your in love I'm happy for you man
K: that reminds me what is going on with you and Brett
C: nothing we are just friends
K: ok I said the same thing about me and Stella and look at where we are at
C: ok so maybe I like her but I don't know if she feels the same way
K: have you seen the way she looks at you she likes you
C: ok so how should I ask her out I mean I can't do what you did since we have never dated or works in the bar
K: haha it worked
C: true but still
K: just ask her out
C: ok will do
They picked out her engagement ring and left.

            *** in the car otw back to Kelly's apartment ***

C: how you gonna propose
K:  cook dinner then go on. Walk when we are over the river ask
C: I never knew you could be romantic
K: well I never had the right one to be romantic with
C: damn I never knew you could express your feeling
K:  I didn't either but Stellas been helping me express when needed and when I don't she understands
C: I never thought I would see the day where you want to settle down and express your feelings
K: she's the one I know it
C: all of us do
They arrived back at the apartment walked back in and made up lies about what they were doing an hour later Casey and Brett left. Kelly and Stella just watched movies for the rest of the day and ordered takeout. While they were ordering takeout Kelly was thinking of what he would need to make her favorite dinner he made a mental note of what he needed. Stella saw he was distracted at first  she thought it because of everything going on but now something is off she was coming up with ways to approach him but remembered he don't do well with emotions only if needed and if something was up he would come to her hopefully Kelly saws she was on deep thought so he slid his arm around her waist scooted her so close she was practically sitting on top of him
K: what you thinking about
S: are you ok
K: yeah why wouldn't I be
S: you've been acting off lately
K: I'm fine I promise
He kissed her. He hoped she believed him. Stella knew something was off but knew if it was serious enough he would tell her so she brushed it off and hoped he wouldn't act like this for long. They watch movies for a few more hours then go to bed
